  • I do lifting on those days - currently doing the ChaLEAN extreme program for that
  • I heard a story about this disease on NPR a few weeks ago. I think it's hard for many of us who are otherwise healthy to understand a disease where the main clinical sign is fatigue without a more definitive underlying cause to explain/fix. I think if you don't feel well if you eat carbs then stop eating carbs. your body…
  • I'm doing the turbofire/chalean extreme hybrid... can I still join?? I did fire 30 and burn 3 today 510 calories on the HRM!
  • just started a hybrid for turbo fire and chalean extreme to balance cardio and strength. loe the calories I burn doing turbofire!!!! love the energy she brings!
  • thanks for all the replies guys it's always nice to hear that it's not just you. I got the biopsy results from my biopsy a few weeks ago as a mild dysplasia. To me that work sounds way too much like neoplasia (cancer) for me to feel easy. I'd almost rather do one of the more drastic procedures to take out the abnormal…
  • great idea! I got the discs off of ebay! I didn't even think of getting the weights there too
  • that is excellent! just started CLX in combination with turbofire. it's been less than a week but I love it. I have been using bands, but I wish I had those adjustable free weights she has for more flexibility!
  • grilled veggies - yum yum yum. also can grill shrimp, fish, chicken and if a burger is really calling your name, I just eat it in lettuce or with a knife and fork without the bun. grilling is a great idea!!!
  • just started turbo fire and have been doing it with chalean extreme to get some strength work in there as well. I've never had such a good cardio workout in my life! it's amazing. I'm burning 100+ calories for each 10 minutes and my heart rate it really up there. she's also easy to listen to and I like that some of the…
  • frozen edemame (soy beans)! I get them in pods and just sprinkle with a tiny bit of salt! YUM
  • I let myself have at least one day off a week as that is normally scheduled into my workout routine (P90X before, now a turbofire hybrid). some weeks end up having 2 days off simply because I don't have time to work out - if I am work for 12+ hours or something
  • like another poster said, you can use any cake mix and any diet soda. I like lemon or yellow cake with diet sprite and make it into cupcakes. each cupcake gets a few frozen raspberries before baking. This also means that I break the box into 18 portions so the calories are lower. for more ideas, just search diet soda cake…
  • I would say the only time to be cautious about over doing it with protein is if you have kidney problems, and if that's the situation, your doctor has probably already advised you on it.
  • turkey chili - I don't have a recipe but it really includes browned ground lean turkey and onions and garlic and then simmered with whatever cans of beans I want to include, canned tomatoes, maybe some tomato paste to give it body and then spiced with chili, cumin, etc to your taste. if you search for it on this site, I…
  • salad with grilled chicken or shrimp and dressing on the side - always a good option!
  • just my 2 cents... since you're doing zumba (btw - LOVE Zumba too) and running, I'd try to focus on strength building that you can get from the P90X videos. Like others have said, you can modify any video for your abilities and what you have. Don't have a chin up bar? you can use resistance bands! I like the legs and back…
  • Thanks for all the information!! I think I have settled on trying a hybrid of ChaLEAN and turbofire - that way I can bump up the cardio from what I was doing with P90X and still have some toning/strength in there too. I wasn't sold on spending the $ to get P90X when I had already been doing it for 2 months and starting to…
  • can you guys describe chaLEAN and supreme 90? those sound interesting
  • thanks for the advice!
  • I drink it all the time, there are some here that will say it has been shown to accelerate bone loss. I have yet to read anything supported by science or a peer reviewed article that supports it, so I drink it. My entire family drinks it more frequently than water and no one has a problem. I just burp a bit more. I love…
  • I recommend doing ab ripper x first. if I do it after the other workout I am too wiped out to do it with any intensity. If I do it first, I still have tons of energy for the main workout. Some days I do it with cardioX also since that's a shorter workout.
  • welcome to P90X! I'm doing the lean version too. I started it a few months ago and got to week 5 before going on vacation and falling off the wagon. I'm back an in week 3 again. I love that it's different every day of the week!! I do switch plyo for kempo because I don't like the kenpo part of cardio x and boy is plyo a…
  • LOVE P90X, and find it nergizing. some times I'm sore the next day depending on how hard I push myself, but never feel totally exhausted after
  • love love love it. I get the smooth kind and I've had a couple different brands and liked all of them. I put it on toast, waffles, where ever you might use peanut butter. I don't like penuts, but love almonds
  • I always get steamed shrimp and broccoli - I love white rice, so I just try to keep that in moderation. try to find a similar item in the database for logging!
  • I think it's going to depend on your settings. if your calories are set at 1200, anything below that is starvation mode. I actually upped mine to 1400 since it is still under maintenance for me, and I don't feel hungry. Remember that if sometimes you're eating 3.3 oz of chicken instead of 3, some days you're probably only…

  • if you cut the pizza into 3 equal pieces, 1/3rd would be one piece. I generally cut pizza into 8th, so 1/3rd would be just under 3 pieces.
  • damn! I am trying to increase my protein intake and just cant get enough in.... I am also a carb-a-holic, and even though I know you are supposed to feel full after protein/fiber, I don't feel full unless I have a carb with my meal. I am so jealous
  • That's such a nice thought! I live with my wonderful fiance, Pete. He works on his family's dairy farm and pulls 16 hour days. I do most of the cooking cleaning and I also have a full time job. I'm trying to cook for us both to be healthier and I certainly work out to try to look hot for him... although he loves me the way…
