Stalls definitely suck and they can be hard to troubleshoot with a closed diary and few details. These are my pretty generic tips: 1. If it's been less than 3 weeks or so, don't sweat it! Normal fluctuations happen and unfortunately sometimes we stall for a week or two even when we're doing everything right. Give your body…

It's hard to say without knowing your stats. Most people would still lose at 1400 calories. Would you be comfortable sharing your height, age, activity level?

I'm not usually on the "weigh everything or you will fail doom doom" train, but since you're in a stall it's worth really digging in and double checking everything. Mayo, cheese, veggie burgers, asparagus, buns, whey protein, almonds, eggs, popcorn, string cheese, everything. I would do it for a week or two just to be…

You've chosen to keep your diary closed to us so we don't have a lot to go on, but you've described a dowry of mainly vegetables so I have to ask if you're getting any fat sources in your diet? Both the calories and the low hunger on keto usually come from higher fats. I can't imagine getting there with just vegetables and…

The sentence I've bolded is definitely something you need to talk to your treatment team about and not a bunch of random strangers on the internet. There's a reason that many health practitioners suggest that patients who have disordered eating patterns should stay off of message boards like this one. The amount of…

Why do you think that I don't know that already?

Have you seen a doctor about the constipation issues? Relying on laxatives long-term can do lasting damage

Before buying a new one you might check to see if any of the common scale issues apply to you: 1. Is your scale on even, level, hard ground? No carpet. Not on a slanted or pebbled floor or anything like that. 2. Do you move your scale at all? Some need to be calibrated each time they're moved and others may have issues…

It's funny because we often tell people to weigh their pasta and that they'll likely be disappointed when they see serving sizes weighed, but when someone does just that and posts about their results it seems like everyone just wants to argue with the point of the post. I remember the first time I cooked 2 ounces of pasta…

As I recall, you mentioned being recently diagnosed with an eating disorder in another thread, right? I mention it because EDs can really skew your perspective of what normal is and I'm not sure that the advice to trust your body or to eat the way that works for you is the best advice in this specific instance. Because…

The pie chart only shows the breakdown for the food you've eaten so far today. It will adjust as you eat throughout the day. Go by the grams for your goals and don't worry about the percentages until the end of the day.

Stalls really suck. Your diary is pretty sporadic. Are you tracking somewhere else? These would be my generic tips: 1. If you aren't already, be sure that you're logging everything. Sometimes people forget about things like veggies, drinks, cooking oils, and condiments. For some people these can add up to enough to halt…

The only other thing I can think of would be an electrolyte imbalance if you reduced your sodium too much. Especially if you drink a ton of water. That or blood sugar issues, which might be fixed by bringing your calories up a smidge or adjusting your meal timings. Just lowering sugar or calories shouldn't cause headaches…

I'm guessing you wouldn't stand on the scale with a bunch of food in your pockets? Or with a loaded plate in your hands? Most of us empty our pockets before we get on the scale so the scale is only weighing us and not all that extra stuff. You got on the scale with all that food still in your internal pockets. Of course…

We have a fairly good picture of what ancient man ate, though, and it wasn't just fat and meat. Idk where you got that idea, but even Otzi had plant matter in both his stomach and intestines.

If it's only been a week and a half, I'd guess that you're stuck in the weird and highly annoying world of scale fluctuations: http://physiqonomics.com/the-weird-and-highly-annoying-world-of-scale-weight-and-fluctuations/ There's a natural slow down to after you've seen a big loss and combined with natural fluctuations,…

You aren't putting a bowl or plate on your scale and then taring it so that you don't get the scale dirty? Are you using a bone-in or a boneless entry for the meat? There are ways to be sure you're accurate with bone-in meat if you're interested in that sort of advice. Not all of us are telling you to eat more, which is…

I gave you 8 or 9 suggestions in my earlier posts in this thread. Have you been through them all now? Did the doctor have any advice or suggestions?

I agree with what everyone else has suggested and also want to add that lowering your carbs dramatically (which I don't know whether you've done or not) can also cause electrolyte imbalances that could lead to symptoms like these. Generally speaking, and without any answers yet, the answer is usually to add something back…

I think this post makes a lot of sense if you replace "CICO" with "calorie counting" in every instance. But as it stands it's a little like saying "speed and velocity don't work for everyone." imo conflating the two concepts (cico and calorie counting) is how we get so many people claiming that calories aren't real or…
-
Again, I think that it's important to be clear about this because it helps people to understand what's going on and having more information can guide people in how to adjust their weight management plan with less struggle. CICO is not the same as calorie counting. And conflating the two, as has happened several times in…
-
I can't tell, is the article actually about CICO or is it about calorie counting as it's often practiced? Because the CICO equation takes all of these things into account already. I don't see how anyone can say it's a problem with CICO when they actually mean calorie counting. The two are separate, but related, things and…

Pick one or the other and find an accurate entry in the database that specifies that it matches the way you weighed it. I prefer to use the dry weight since that's what's on most nutrition labels, but either is fine.
-
In my limited experimenting, frozen vs thawed doesn't make a big difference to the weight of something unless it's been in the freezer long enough to have a lot of ice buildup on it. I weigh frozen because I find it easier and most labels are for the "as packaged" weight, but you can do your own experimenting and the…

Yes, it happened to me when my weight loss stalled out for eight weeks. These are the things I wish someone had told me at the time when I was floundering to get out of it. For me, it was largely a logging and motivation issue. 1. If you aren't already, be sure that you're logging everything. Sometimes people forget about…

These would be my generic tips without more details about your food situation. Eating clean matters less than eating the right amount and you don't mention anything about your calories or deficit. With a closed diary, maybe something here will help: 1. If you aren't already, be sure that you're logging everything.…
