I'm slowly falling from the "silly people just don't know any better" to the "screw it I hate fat people - It's their own fricken fault" boat. With a fine distinction between simply 'overweight' and 'fat' being made. People carry themselves differently. Always happy to give advice if people want to listen of course, but…

I absolutely love Insanity. On week 3 of my 2nd time through. As was mentioned previously, it's a great cardio workout with self body weight type of strength training. I recommend it to anyone without joint problems.

For the sake of being inherently lazy when I'm eating avocado at lunch. I cut it in half and eat it with a spoon out of the shell.

Personally I enjoy fasting now that I've tried it out a couple weeks. I work overnights so I end up being up all night friday and saturday nights. Much easier to wake up at 9pm, eat once, then not eat again until I get up saturday night while I hang out and relax. I drink coffee, tea, and water while I fast. I like it more…

I workout after my night shifts. I have a protein shake and eggs with toast typically. Go to bed around 10/noon and sleep until 2-3 hours before work (9/10/11)

Eat.

Furthest to date has been 12 miles. I run 5-10 miles typically when I'm running often. Occasionally run a fast 3 to mix it up. Planning on doing a half marathon in the spring / early summer.

110-145 range huh... Gdiaf.

In my experience it varies greatly. I usually eat 2 chicken breasts at one meal, and they weighed from 11oz to 16oz. The next week I had 1 chicken breast that was 12 oz. Best off just weighing it quickly in my experience.

Personally I love working my 3rd shift factory job. Full spectrum bulbs in the workplace help out a lot for starters. I work 11-7 and I eat my lunch at work at 3am, and have 2 other breaks where I have a piece of fruit / veggies with almonds. Lunch lately has been an avocado, greek yogurt with protein powder mixed in, or…

I remember that day. It was a beautiful day. Congratulations!

Greek yogurt in general. Plain mixed with 1 scoop protein powder per 1/2 cup yogurt. Only 200 calories with chobani 2% plain and Body Logix Strawberry Banana Burst protein powder. (35 grams protein)

I solved this problem for myself by fasting for 24 hours. I eat when I get up Friday night then fast until I get up Saturday night. It's not for everyone by any means, but it works for me. Plus its a nice mental exercise.

My first time through Insanity I dropped from 241 to 199. I also ran 3 miles 6 days a week for the first 6 weeks. I was at a 1,000 calorie daily deficit (2 lbs a week). Ate back my running calories. Mostly that happened because I had lots of weight to drop and entered into a very structured lifestyle at the same time. I…

Like they say, start small. Go for a walk. Park further away from the doors at stores. Stairs instead of escalators / elevators. Once walking a mile or so is comfortable walk faster. Then walk farther. Ease into jogging intervals. But most of all losing weight will alleviate those knee and ankle problems. I thought I had…

What I was always told in university classes was 3 days strength, 5-6 days cardio. Assuming cardio is somewhere in the 40 minutes - 60 minutes range. Cardio being before strength on those days. Maybe its outdated nowadays.

I'd go for half the Tilapia I have in the fridge (8 oz) a baked sweet potato, and brocolli. Should be right around that (even frying the fish in olive oil)

I love Night Shift! Been working 11pm-7am for 5 months now, been losing steady the whole time :) Factory work where we get breaks every 2 hours helps, natural time to graze with lunch at 3. I workout when I get home and have a protein shake and lately breakfast. Sleep from noon until 2 or 3 hours before work (depending on…

It's not a shake but... 1 scoop of whey protein (i've tried chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry banana) with half a cup of plain greek yogurt turns into a super protein rich pudding. I usually toss in frozen blueberries and cinnamon. Super tasty.

It's worth it. It's definitely worth it. Down 115 lbs in 2 years. None of the steps I've taken have been very much work in and of themselves. Start small and make sustainable lifestyle changes. Then simply build from there. Whether those small steps are eliminating something negative (like a pack of soda a day) or adding…

Since I work 3rds I eat breakfast at work, lunch in the morning, and dinner at night when I get up. Breakfast is typically the same foods subbing out 1 or 2 things. Total prep being as long as it takes you to toss things in the bag from the fridge. Possibly stirring protein powder into yogurt. Lunch is almost always eggs…

Vodka + cranberry juice is a nice sipper. If you're looking for something tasty, fruity, and strong enough to knock normal people down, get a Zombie. They are delicious.

Finished Insanity last November, took the holidays off and on Week 2 currently. By the time I got to month 2 I was in such better shape I think I enjoyed it more than month 1. It's a wicked crazy workout! I love it!

Try mixing it with cinnamon, jam (i like strawberry or blackberry) walnuts, and dark chocolate chips. Comes out tasting like a cookie :)

It's a shame that our society has devolved to such extents. People often project their own insecurities towards others behind the safety of their internet walls. Don't let them knock you down. Getting active always helps me get through a funk as well as some good old fashioned sunlight (yeah yeah its winter). I am also…

Welcome, I was 300lbs when I started my journey just over 2 years ago. The best generic advice I can offer is to make small, sustainable, permanent life changes. Don't get too caught up in an overnight lifestyle change. Ditching the soda is a great start as is looking for alternative snack options. In brief, my changes…

I'm 24, 5'4" maybe 5'4.5" Looking to go from 185 to 160-165. My goal is to enlist in the military (and look great for summer) May birthday :D *edit* Also doing Insanity, on day 6 right now.

I have not. While making juice out of fruits/veggies sounds delicious, I like to chew my food. I do however take a 24 hour fast for the day of Saturday. An exercise in control goes a long way towards breaking any snack habits or overeating.

Fast food makes me feel sick nowadays. I get pizza with friends once a month or so, occasional sub at subway - chicken or veggie. Maybe chinese (but usually make my own) I feel awesome nowadays, but I can't attribute that to ditching fast food. Correlation != Causation and all that. Though I do get a crack out of people…
