17 days left of my first full run through Insanity after getting hung up with illness/life in the past. Stick with it! Dig Deeper!

I'm holding a steady pace to drop 40 lbs in 10 weeks. 2 weeks left, 6 lbs to go. Completely possible (insofar as numbers/timeline are concerned). Hasn't been too rough yet.

Boneless skinless fat chicken breasts, i smash them down with a kitchen mallet and fry them in a cast iron skillet (with olive oil) comes out tender and juicy and awesome. Season to taste (laury's seasoned salt, garlic salt, cracked pepper) Also, roasting garlic in the oil ahead of time, taking it out and -then- frying the…

"Exposure" Taken from Wikipedia A condition of very poor health or death resulting from lack of protection over prolonged periods under weather, extreme temperatures or dangerous substances. I cycle my breathing between nose and mouth. In my nose, out my mouth. 2 cycles, then 1 cycle in and out my mouth. Stops my nose from…

I was at the same weight when i started running. Eased into it with a slow jog then worked up to some interval runs until i could go multiple miles. Now (6 weeks or so later) I'm running a 5k 5 mornings per week and doing Insanity in the afternoons. Closing in on 200 lbs fast. But I am still young (24) so take it for what…

Hmm if you're having even mild joint pains Insanity is a bit high impact. I would recommend something like yoga or tai chi. Might not be the most intense calorie burning activities, but you may notice improvements in your symptoms. My $.02

I've got a good 15 or so to go to 200. My goal is Halloween. I might be pushing my luck, but I'll be giving it hell.

I aim my calorie total to lose 2 lbs per week. I run 6 days a week and do Insanity the same 6 days. I don't know how to log Insanity calorie wise so i don't count it. I've been losing 2-3 lbs per week for the last month or so. Success. I don't expect the same rate of weight loss to continue indefinitely though.

Drink water, stay active, get out of the house. These help me. If i get a real sweet craving I pour a cup of tea with a spoonful of honey. (which i find to be very sweet thanks to a diet without super refined sugars)

I was put on a low sodium diet once as a precautionary measure after my BP reading was sort of high during a doctors visit (I was sick go figure). The amount they wanted me to stay below was about the same as 100% Daily Value on a 2k calorie diet. Unless you are talking multiples higher - 2x 3x higher - you are doing fine.

If I could go back to the beginning? I would tell myself then to go back further and kick myself in the butt earlier.

I work 3rd shift... sooo most of my eating occurs after 6pm, since I wake up at 4pm. In fact, nearly all of my eating occurs after 6pm.

I just read it, but I have not read any prior :) I too love the high you get from working out. Its the best. My sister and I concluded one large problem people have is that they never have worked out long enough to get to that place. If you run for 10 minutes or 12 minutes in school you don't get into that zone. If only…

Technically while in REM sleep, most functions of your body are completely shut down. Like digestion. This is why people have advised for as long as I can remember not to eat 4 hours before you go to bed. Not saying that 4 hours is some magic number or anything, but the principle is what matters.

Started Insanity yesterday. I'm game. Also running in the AM when I get off 3rd shift. Its gonna be great!
