yeah,we live in a democracy so i guess your view must be out of step with whats been voted in or whatever, hate when that happens. I AM getting started, working at it everyday, lost 60lbs already but i recognise there is still weight to lose and i think help towards this would be good. i can understand your anger, i felt…

QWell I'm sure you'll be both delighted to my weight causes my daily abuse, discomfort and humiliation. Isn;t that wonderful? It has done for the last 8 yrs or so, and i have felt so much anger about how i have been treated (yes, i think it is WRONG to suffer verbal abuse, no one 'deserves' that) and how things are for me,…

I might think about the diet class thing if all else fails, i think i need myappointment at the gp to find out my options. i have to go for many hrs now, catch you all tomorrow afternoon!xx

Good for those 34stone29stones ppls. Personally i apprecaite a more holistic approach to the problem, because i think it works better for me however. Also, I have a trust in nhs/local authority, that they know best (no disrespect to ayone elses choices). It is down to me to sort this out, not like anyone can lose weight…
-
stackhead, i never said or even slightly implied u dont have a clue about the issues, sorry if u picked it up that way. what i want from the nhs? idk, i dont care if it is nhs or local council, i just want some sort of holistic support that helps with all the facrtors that lead to obesity, preferably with other ppl, i…

Yes, this is what i've been syaing all along, i don't want a clinical approack, because i dont beleive i am sick. But i do think i cant do this without help. I don't think i ever said i dont want general nutiritional advice, i do want it, that is what they would NOT let me access though, which was a shame. hope I don'tcome…

Well, I am entitled to everything as it happens,I am a UK citizen who pay taxes, as such I am entitled to have my health care needs met, either by the local authoriy or nhs that is all. The same could be said of most illness(yea yea i know obesity is not a 'proper' condition because it is self inflcted etc, I agree, this…

Again, sorry to be on this note but i dont like how they are keeping services for general obese people, but not for more heavier obese people. we mustnt be a worthy investment,

I CALLED LEVEL 3 PPL AND THEY SAID I CANNOT GO THERE BECAUSE IT IS CLOSING IN TWO WEEKS, FML :( :( :( :( DEVASTATED.

Ha ha, I kinda do at least show up one day and say remember me? Not that they probably will, or care if they do, but it make me feel good, haha. Yeeeah, I was annoyed but I am not one to sue or make a huge fuss and get the press etc. I just ranting on here lol

Called for an appointment about accessing a tier 3 thing... but not before sending a slightly curt email to first place, saying 'ok fine, i look forward to seeing you in the near future when my bmi is below 40.' he he, just couldnt resist. I'll show them.

Obummer care? I thought Obama care was a step towards more socialised medicine. It is out welfare state that enables free services like this, so I think Obama care will be a good thing. Not that I know much about it but it sounds great to me. But that is a whole other debate. Thank you everyone xxx

I would have loved to have done crochet and nice crafts (it is indeed my work now!!) but I had to do horrble sports and rough dirty activities, so bad stuff about that too.

It makes me want to do it, people being happy to help me nd I am happy to help ;)
-
Obviously not. You can see many people disagreed with me, and actually size10again was very pro the hospital approach, but she answered with understanding, knowledge and kindness. You answered with ignorance, misunderstanding and meaness. I have been reading these many answers and genuinely i beginning to rething the whole…

Thank you. I am happy not to be a lost cause. I beleive in myself i am glad other ppl can also.

I don't think she is nice, but that is irrelevant to all of us.
-
Thank you for your really helpful knowledge xx I guess I could see about looking into it when you out it that way, but I hope I can have some consultation were i can tell them i really want all the lifestyly stuff also because that is what I think is best help. Thanks for everyone who give me really useful information and…

Seriously, you bring nothing to this conversation at all. Go away and let the adults talk, I am trying to get advice from sensible people here.

I'm not a doctor but I think long term approach is better. My immeidate health is actually OK, it is the future I worry about, which is why I feel I need a sustainable life long appraoch. rml_16, you are being presumptious and unfair. That's OK (I will just skim over it) Thanks to the few people above me who give really…

No, i do not think it is their responsibility, it is mine. And the way in which I am taking responsibilty is, among other reasons, seeking helfpul advice and support. I think it is unfair because i beleive it would help me, and also that I would not harm the group (i am sure I could in fact be as valuable member as all the…

Thanks for the informed comment size10again. Are you a professional in this area? I guess they must be going off that tier thing. And that is what frustrates me, I dont want special medical help, I want that teit lifestyley, public health stuff. Apart from being more positive, it is also more sustainable because it gives…

I agree it is unfiar about girls not able to do scouts. I think all unfiar discrimination should stop. Ok, sorry for saying 40 is minor, maybe it just seems that way to me. I appreciate it presents a real challenge to some. I just mean it seems funny to me to say someone can't attend a programme for help about weight…

Awww, thank you. I suppose I can concede that they would think i'd struggle with the exercise (i am not sure I would, I am OK fit), and maybe insurence stuff. But this I think strongly- that I can't even join in a group talking about healthy eating etc? Do they think I'd have nothing to contribute to it, nor benefit from…

I am not upset at myself at all. I am doing my very best to make changes. that don't mean never going wrong but recognising where i went wrong and trying to push forward. Seeking this was part of it, getting over my plateau. Not upset with myself one bit, am proud of myself, just annoyed about the situation here.
-
I know it is entitle to make it's own rules but I just think those rules are not fair. I don't want to have to go to a hospital to get help, I want help in that kind of setting. I really feel I would benefit from it, so I don't know why I can't. I think I could keep up because I have as good brain as anyone and I always…

Hmmm, I hate to break it to americans who didnt know but French portions aren't 'tiny', yours are big. Seriously you here people talking A LOT in england (and i assume rest of the world) about how HUUUUUUUGE American portions are. It's a very widely held notion and i think it is based on experience.
