  • There have been a lot of posts lately of people posting the same issue. Could be a bug. Mine hasn't given me any issues though....yet...lol
  • Its completely normal to get weight fluctuations when you are on your period, AND from a day to day basis. Yesterday I weighed 268.6 after dinner. This morning I weighed 267.6....Tonight I weigh 268 lol Completely normal.
  • If you don't mind me asking, what's your height/weight? female/male?
  • You should give vegetables a try honestly. I never new I loved raw brocolli and raw cauliflower until about two months ago.....I love eating it with hummus/dips and pasta salads! I never ever ever thought I would like raw veggies, but a friend made a recipe that included raw veggies and so I wouldn't be rude, I ate it, and…
  • An 800 calorie diet?! That's....insane! That is waaaay to low of calories, nobody is recommended to eat below 1200 calories a day! You really need to reevaluate your eating habits and come up with a better goal. Eating that little isn't just crazy, but its also very dangerous. It can destroy your health and of course…
  • My mom is getting full knee replacement surgery in October, she is trying to lose weight before then! >.<
  • Nonono! Always count calories! It's extremely important! It's extremely easy to go overboard on calories if you do not pay attention to the calories in foods!
  • Yep, I get this alllll the time from friends and its getting quite annoying. I've often wondered at times what I should do/say to them as well..Its hard to tell someone no, and not be rude about it, because no matter how you look at it, or how I look at it, I feel like I'm being rude. lol Example, this past Saturday I…
  • Usually plateaus are not really considered plateaus unless its been about 3 months and you have seen no change. Maybe try changing up your cardio a bit, and mixing around what you eat. I had a 2 month stall on my weight loss, and even though it sucked, I kept changing things until I finally started losing again. For me it…
  • What do you consider a cheat day? I have "cheat days" every weekend, but they have not thus far hindered my weight loss. I just make sure not to eat above 2,500 calories and so far I still continue to lose weight as long as I eat good Monday-Friday. :) Usually my cheat days will consist of a small breakfast, small lunch,…
  • If many others around you are urging you to see a therapist, and you are the only one who thinks you need to lose weight, I would definitely take their advice seriously and seek some help. Don't wait! And also, just because you have fat in certain areas, does NOT mean you have to lose weight. It may simply mean you need to…
  • Eat better, exercise more. :) Don't let those 11 lbs go to waste!
  • Brownsville/South Padre Island! feel free to add me!
  • Does anyone know why sometimes it adds calories, and then they dissapear as if it took them back? lol I get that sometimes where at 1PM I have 50 extra calories, then by 7PM they are gone and it says zero again :/ lol
  • I've just been eating what I normally eat on the weekends, a mix of fast food and home food, all of it is unsettling though. I may be getting in too much fiber actually that you mention it, I never thought to limit my fiber intake with a stomach bug, but it makes sense. I generally eat less on the weekdays, than the…
  • The Nutrisystem Meal Replacement chocolate shakes are amazzzziiiiiiiinnnggg in flavor! <3 My dad had bought some for himself as a meal replacement/snack and had me taste it! I use them as snacks sometimes and love them! 150 calories per bottle. And $5 for a pack of 6 :) Hands down the best chocolate drink I've ever tasted…
  • Holy! I've never ever gotten that many extra calories from walking, even when I've gotten 10,000 or 12,000 steps! How many steps are you getting daily? I think when I've gotten like 10,000 steps the most calories I've gotten was 700 extra.
  • I'm not exactly sure on the specifics, but I have diet+cardio+weight trained before and as long as I was still losing weight, I was getting more toned and still losing inches :)
  • I think he meant alcoholic drinks haha
  • Slow progress is still progress! Keep going! It was really hard on me when I lost very weight slowly for about 2 months, and it bothered me so much! I eventually got over it and kept going and now my weight loss has returned to normal :)
  • Almost any type of nuts or peanut butter has a ton of calories, and are considered healthy fats :) Try a handful of chocolate covered almonds maybe, easy 200 calories!
  • Generally, unless he has specific health reasons that do not allow him to eat anymore than 1200 calories, a dietician is a better source than a physician when it comes to nutrition, dieting and weight loss :)
  • You know...This post made me realize that from all the times I've lost weight, I've never dropped a shirt size and have only dropped pant sizes ._. What gives?!
  • I 100% agree with this post! Keeping your bigger clothes "in case you gain weight again" is already setting yourself up for failure if you think about it! Donate your clothes that are too big for you, and keep the clothes that are too small so you have motivation to keep losing weight!
  • I have actually lost more weight by eating around 1600 calories a day and exercising 30 mins, then what I did eating only 1,100-1200 calories a day with no exercise! Eating more has helped me and has the exercise :)
  • Usually these things are scams/do not work, but even besides that, weight loss pills/shakes etc are not a good idea because you do not learn anything on how to make a lifestyle change to keep the weight off in the future. Sure, it may help you lose 10-20 lbs at first, but once you lose that weight, what have you actually…
  • Mine usually stays steady all week, then usually drops 1-2 lbs somewhere between Wednesday-Thursday lol
  • Nobody is recommended to eat below 1200 calories, man or woman! Men need more calories naturally as compared to women. Once you get to your target/goal weight, you can eat calories to maintain your weight. It maybe 1600 calories a day or 1800 calories a day depending on your weight and height. Remember, you are only eating…
  • I had the FitBit Aria for about a week. I returned it, but not because it didn't work, but because I realized $130 was sitting on my floor doing nothing except me standing on it lol. I also did not like it because weight fluctuates daily/normally, and the Aria would record every single weight and sync it to MFP. So it…
  • I actually think obesity does have a genetic link. It doesn't mean you have to be fat because of it, or can't do anything about it, but I'm almost 100% certain that genetics is linked with obesity.
