  • What's the difference?
  • Yes! I've had a personal trainer before and the results were a lot better when I had one versus to when I didn't.
  • Egg white delight mcmuffin and a hashbrown= 400 calories :) its usually what I get
  • To add a friend, click on their name, and then "message or ignore" will pop up. Ignore both of those, and click on their name again that's beside that and it will take you to their profile page. Once there simply "add friend" :)
  • Cheat days don't do anything for metabolism, but they may help with binging or going over board on calories since it lets you indulge a little. Usually for me, a cheat day is nothing over 2,500 calories, and if I'm really pushing it, 2,800 calories. But I weigh 269 lbs., so thats enough for me to maintain my weight.

  • Science has proven otherwise, and like many other members on here will tell you from their own experience, they have lost weight eating whatever they want as long as they managed a calorie deficit. Eating 3,500 k calories a day will not make someone gain weight. Eating 3,500 kcalories a day OVER what your TDEE is will make…
  • Is he logging everything he is eating, and also does he weigh his food when he does? Calories can quickly add up without even realizing it, and what one may think is a "serving" of chips to them, may actually be 2-3 servings and be over 300 calories. If we could see his diary, maybe that would help more.
  • It all depends on you, for some people it creates cravings, for others it does not. I have always drank them and it does not cause me to crave other things :)

  • I'm in! Starting Weight: 268.6 lbs Goal Weight: 258.6 lbs!
  • I'm not sure but I would go see a doctor for that if its never happened before. If you never used to brush it in the shower, and just started to brush it in the shower, its completely normal for that to happen though. :) I brush my hair in the shower all the time. And by a lot, like more than a few strands?
  • It happens, (saying this in a nice way) but suck it up and get over it because tomorrow is a new day! :D Don't turn a bad day into a bad week. :)
  • Cheat meals are fine, cheat days are a definite no-no though lol
  • I usually have cheat meals on the weekend, if I eat like 2000-2500 calories (a day, not in one meal!) I'm fine and my weight loss does not get derailed, but if I eat more than that, I will usually see a small stall in my weight loss. It fluctuates and goes up for 1-3 days, but actually gaining weight from weekend cheat…

  • Yep! They are called smart scales or wifi scales lol Some of them have their own apps and some are supported by MFP but I'm not sure which ones.
  • I bought it a few months ago...and then returned it. It was nice and all, but not worth $110+ in my opinion. And once your realize you spent $110 on something that sits on your floor and gets a few times a week use, you will be like "why did i just waste $110 for a floor decoration?" lol
  • Technically according to BMI scales, you are still in the overweight range, but by a very tiny bit! 165 lbs is a healthy goal and you would be considered in the normal weight/healthy range :) There's nothing really to do about targeting weight loss in certain spots, it just goes from wherever it wants to sadly lol
  • What is your calorie goal? How much are you eating? Are you sure you are eating enough? Way too little information here to give any sort of help or advice :/
  • I binge usually only when I start dieting. Its really weird, and doesn't happen too often, but I can feel when they are coming on....Its really strange how it works. Sometimes I try my hardest to fight it off and do, and other times by the time I know it, I've eaten chips, popcorn, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, milk,…
  • The shake is only 150 calories per bottle, which is usually how many calories I eat as an snack in the evening. I don't think they are considered "meal replacements", but they do say weight loss shakes.
  • Go to the success stories forum! There are tons there!
  • I have been on MFP for the last 3-4 years now. I keep going back between the same amounts of weight each time. My highest being 283, and my lowest being 255. It is hard, and it does suck, but I think I've realized some things now that I didn't quite realize before when I tried to lose weight. I went back up to 282 over the…
  • I have had the same issue for the longest time but am finally starting to rid of the habit. Before I would eat out maybe 7 times a week? Even though I would keep it within my calorie range, it still adds more calories than eating at home. Right now I'm eating out maybe around 3-4 times a week (mostly on weekends), I try to…
  • My friend once weighed a healthy 120 lbs...then 100...then 95....and now she still thinks she needs to lose weight....Stop now before it gets outta hand!
  • Yea.....you will have to deal with poop a lot lol
  • Weight fluctuates on a daily basis anywhere from 1-5 lbs. Completely normal. :)
  • I preplan my day around knowing what I'm going to eat out later. For example, if I know I'm going to splurge on a 1,000 calorie meal at a restaurant, I have a light breakfast such as fruit, and for lunch a simple sandwich with veggies or anything basically thats around 300 calories. :) For example, I always go out on…

  • With a 100 lbs to lose, I'm surprised MFP has your calorie goal that low o.o How much do you weigh now? I've eaten 1600 calories before with 30 mins of daily exercise, and lost about 30 lbs in two and a half months that way. Right now I'm eating about 1300 calories but not exercising, and have lost 13 lbs since March.

  • If you just started out weight lifting, your body may be holding onto water to repair your muscles since its not used to lifting weights. Also, make sure you are weighing your food that you cook at home, its very easy to underestimate at home food. Also make sure you are counting the oil you use to cook as well, oil can…
  • A week is not enough time to see changes all the time. Your body changes, and the rate which you lose may change also. Give it at least 3 weeks to a month first :)
  • Seems like everyone has the same answers here, the reason I was asking was because my personal trainer had told me one time that I would lose weight more effectively if I ate breakfast every single day because it would help my metabolism.
