  • I've always wondered about this as well. I have almost 100+ lbs to lose and I know I shouldn't worry about it and I'm not, but I've always wondered when I get to my goal weight if I will have a lot of excess skin.
  • Its may not be that people demonize, or think fat is the enemy just because they want too. But many people were taught that way and do not know the differences in macro nutrients. :) Instead of getting angry at them and making them seem ignorant, educate them! Not everyone knows everything someone else may know :)
  • Try switching up what you eat and how you exercise a bit! Your body may have gotten used to what you have been doing :)
  • Thanks! I will definitely look into it and give him some ideas!
  • He goes to the doctor all the time, they tell him what he can and can't eat because of his diabetes, and certain foods, and he has listened and it has helped him lose weight before, but now he hasn't lost anything in quite a few months now.
  • For the amount he exercises and works, he may be very hungry. He works outside in 100 degree heat from 7AM to 6PM. :/
  • Buy a food scale! They are very cheap and sell them at Walmart/convenience stores :) Start measuring/weighing your home cooked meals and that will keep you on track!
  • No formulas are 100% accurate, the only actual way to get to that accuracy would be to do some medical tests at a hospital or something. A 200 calorie difference isn't that much of a difference though, but what you could do is balance it out right between what you calculated and what MFP gave you. :)
  • Greek yogurt is a far lot healthier than normal yogurt. Just be careful as yogurt is very high in sugars :)

  • 10 years to lose 50-60 lbs is ridiculous lol Personally I have lost up to 50 lbs in a year, and I know many many people here have lost just that or even more! I wouldn't trust that Libra site lol
  • Start toning up! Rather than doing cardio, start lifting weights and doing resistance exercises! That may also help your belly pooch go away :)
  • I guess I haven't really explained to him in detail many things he can do because I feel like its a little too much information for him to get all at once. Maybe I will try making some print outs for him so he can always have the information at hand and not forget about it. He isn't dumb and not forgetful, but he isn't as…
  • No I guess I haven't, he sees it as "calories in vs calories out" now that I think about it. I will show him some foods that will keep him fuller longer! Thanks! :D
  • I don't really feel like stubborn is what he is....I feel like its more being scared of the unknown or eating less....Which I understand since he is always hungry as it is....But being as I'm lightly active, and he is highly active, I'm not sure how much he should or shouldn't be eating/exercising
  • I never said he won't listen to me, but I'm kinda at a loss of how to try and help him or give advice to him. He works out a ton, eats fairly moderate and still not losing. Listening isn't an issue, he listens. I just don't have any more advice to give him to listen too.
  • Question first, do you enjoy/like running? Its hard to have motivation about something if its not something you like in the first place :)
  • I know eat under my calorie goal on Monday-Friday and eat enough to maintain on Saturdays and Sunday. I have been able to lose weight this way just fine. :) But if I eat more than maintenance on weekends, I always stall on my weightloss temporarily :/
  • I can honestly say it needs to be a 24/7 commitment. I know because I have done the same things you have "eat correctly monday-friday" and go over Saturdays and Sundays. Believe it or not, doing this or eating well "most of the time" is enough to throw you off your goals and stall weight loss or even make you gain. At 164…
  • I should have clarified more, I still have pain and am on pain meds lol If there was no pain I wouldn't be asking this question at all! I would be exercising! But there is pain still just from walking and standing around doing normal acitivies. It isn't excruciating but sometimes they do send a pretty damn sharp severe…
  • I got the dream board idea from pinterest actually too lol Pinterest is like a giant dream board and I love using it! I will send you a PM with my pinterest name :)
  • There are plenty of healthy foods, but it depends whether you want those foods to keep you up past midnight or not ._. lol Some can keep you up and some can make you feel more rested, *example: milk!*
  • Hi, I sent your a friend request! :)
  • Are you absolutely sure you are hungry and not bored? Just have to make sure! If not and if its really that bad, you may want to see a doctor for it and tell him your problem. :)
  • I have the Fitbit Alta, its nice and stylish and has a display on it! Only thing it lacks is the HRM :) $130
  • That's good to know! I've never had a kidney stone before so I'm not sure what I can and cannot do lol They gave me meds to pee more and dilate my ureters, but no stents lol I'll try doing some light exercises maybe to see how the pain feels after that.
  • Different people have different ways of losing weight, what works for one may or may not work for another. What works for you may or may not work for another as well. :) On topic though, weight fluctuates daily at least 1-3 lbs for me, which is why I try not to weigh myself every day. Its a hard habit to get rid of, but I…
  • Nope, I'm going with friends so I have no clue where we will be eating at >.< It all just depends where everyone wants to go :( lol
  • It sounds like you are doing really well so far! The only thing I can think of is maybe you have hit a "plateau" and your weight loss has stalled! A simple solution to get out of this is try switching up your exercises, try incorporating heavier weights for lifting as well. When we keep doing the same exercises for so…
  • If I eat well through the week, it only fluctuates maybe half a pound to a pound, if I eat a lot (let's say on the weekend), it fluctuates as much as 5 lbs! Good example, I ate pizza hut last saturday and weighed 275, but Monday I weighed 272 again (my original weight) :)
  • I either eat fruit or binge on Netflix lol Also National Geographic works too!
