I feel your pain! In the UK at least, trying to find 40A's are impossible. I was finding myself in the 'granny bra' section most of the time.
-
Same here! I was an 40A at my heaviest, and I'm an 34AA right now. I can't mourn for something I never had! Can't think of anything that's particularly depressing about losing weight...

For me, this is what body positivity is about. Some people get very funny about body positivity, thinking it means celebrating obesity and ill health. Rather, it's about not being an *kitten* to other people - don't treat people like crap because of their bodies.

L2 RI30 makes me laugh, at one point Jillian says "You bought the DVD, you FOOL! You have to do it!" I don't think I noticed her being more mean than usual - but she does get at her assistants a lot! And she is particuarly vocal in these ones (not seen level 3 or 4 yet). L2 is hard, but I always find it OK for a few days…

All the 'naturally thin' people I knew had considerably smaller appetites than me. Like, we'd go to a restaurant and I'd have a starter, mains and dessert. They would struggle to just eat their mains. And they were people who left things on their plate when they were full. I was brought up to clear my plate every time!

I read a good book recently, called: Wishcraft: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wishcraft-How-What-Really-Want/dp/0345465180 that I'd highly recommend. Ignore the title, it is one of those books that basically breaks down thinking about what you REALLY want to do in life and actually putting steps in place to achieve it. It's good…

I agree! I'm on a general first 'cut' right now. Then after that, some gentle bulking and cutting next year and we'll see where I stand. Though...will building up my chest muscles take the edge off my ribcage? (That's a weird sentence...) I've found it more preferable to find inspirational pictures on Tumblr and Pinterest…
-
And that's totally my body too. I've had collar bones and a visible rib cage for ages, despite having plenty of chub on my belly, butt and thighs... But it's just how my body stores fat, and if I want slimmer thighs then I'm just gonna have to take the fact that my rib cage will show. However, building muscle can help with…

Ditto on the fact that the VS models have very low body fat levels. And Photoshop. If you wanted to get slimmer legs, lose body fat. That is, have a sensible calorific deficit. 'Saddlebags' are made of fat, not muscle. VS models differ from other models I guess in that on top of having very low levels of body fat, they…

I think they are very important - especially as during my journey my brain forgets what heavier weights were like. I have no concept of what it was like to be at my heaviest because I feel exactly the same now. It's really weird. So I need my 'big jeans' and my before photos to remind me how much I've changed. I did all my…

I love sloppy article writing like this... Caroline Scott-Thomas, go back to journalism school.

I wear a bandanna AND a sweat band. I look awesome...

Same here! I think I must have been...10 years old possibly? I vaguely think I might be smaller than I was at 18... I really wish I made a note of my measurements then! I do know I have NEVER been my goal body composition though...like, I guess you could say I have been my goal weight before when I went past it. But, in…

Muscles don't turn into fat, and fat doesn't turn into muscles. You gain or lose muscle, and gain and lose fat. If you lost fat doing 30DS, then kept a lifestyle that maintained that fat loss, you'll be fine. Dunno about keeping muscle...I don't think it vanishes that quickly, but I don't know how cardio affects it (they…

You can do it, ButterflyDame!!! I've been reading stuff on this website like a crazy person: http://www.whyquit.com/ I think I'm just gonna have to keep reading it all day every day until I get used to the non-smoking life!
-
Dunno if you're gonna be up for this, but I wash my face with raw honey. You can also use oils, or I guess other non-soap substances. Here's the info I use: http://www.crunchybetty.com/honey-challenge http://www.crunchybetty.com/nitty-gritty-on-the-oil-cleansing-method For both, you're gonna have to give it a while for…

Oooooh... Congratulations on your non-smoking status!!! It's my first day of not smoking - OK so far, but I'm keeping an eye out for those panic cravings! I also hope that I'm going to lose some more weight - I'm part way through Insanity, so surely I'll be able to push myself slightly further and see some benefits quite…

I was reading about this - I think that after such a long time of weight loss, maintaining your weight for a year may help 'realign' your body. So to speak. Get your hormones settled. Also, ages ago, I read an article about a Hollywood dermatologist who recommended high fat diets to his clients. High fats as in good fats:…

My weight loss is a law unto itself - who knows what mysterious rules it goes by. Sometimes I lose inches and weight, sometimes it's just inches, sometimes it's just weight. Sometimes I lose neither and my close feel more baggy... Keep at it, your body is doing it's own thing!

I need both the scales and the measuring tape. The scales keep me in check. The measuring tape approach can often be frustrating for me - I'll see from the scales that I've put on some weight, and double-check with the measuring tape to see that I haven't. So that's fine. But, I can have big drops in scale weight, where my…

I tend to have a big drop in a week - about 5-7 lbs can be common. Then I go up a few pounds, drop a few pounds, up a few more, down a few more for about a month. Then I go down slowly, then it's the big drop, then it happens all over again.

Ditto about it being cultural, not a 'human' thing. There's a line in 'If I were a Rich Man' from Fiddler on the Roof: "I see my wife, my Golde, looking like a rich man's wife, With a proper double-chin" So in that culture, weight means riches and wealth etc... In our culture, with our surplus of food, thinness is revered…

I'm in South Yorkshire if that counts?!

Pfffft - I'm pear shaped and I only ever wear skinny jeans. High-waisted skinny jeans are my preferred style. Like these: http://www.next.co.uk/x52168s6 The high waist helps hug my belly - I loathe low-rise jeans, or low-rise anything. The skinny fit just feels good to me, like I'm being hugged all over on my lower half. I…

In the future, I'm trying to train myself to weigh myself once a month only on the week after my period is finished. I find that's the only time it will give me a sensible reading (or as sensible as scales can be). I dunno if I count in your age range, I'm early 30's, but PMS has given me some weird reactions over the…

Ditto this. It's their body, they can wear what they want for whatever reasons they want to - even it be for reasons others consider 'misguided' or 'foolish'. The main thing is, all of this is in your head. It has less to say about about why they are wearing clothes you consider to be unsuitable for them, and everything to…

I'd defo suggest a trip to the doctors to get it checked out. For me, my hair and skin has become dryer since losing weight and eating healthy. I'm hoping it's a transition phase, that will pass when I finish losing weight, because my hormones are going crazy after losing weight for over a year. As for falling out, I'm not…

I plan on quitting tomorrow cold turkey! Good luck, and feel free to add me for motivation/quitting buddy!

I've not set foot in a gym nor stepped outside to run on my weight loss journey so far. Can't afford the gym and I dislike running. I lost the first 40-odd pounds through diet alone anyhow. all my exercise has been through dvds, it suits me and I like it. I know it doesn't suit everyone, but I seem to prefer building an…

From 17 June to 22 July - a loss of 3lbs! Down to 135 lbs Wow...Not much, but not going up which I guess is the main thing. Damn it's sooooo slowwwww!
