Nice job Gary - you should be proud! And don't feel bad, it was unseasonably warm here (Indy) too on Saturday and I felt awful after my 8.5 mile training run. I run my half on 11/5 and I suspect heat won't be an issue - maybe the opposite ;-) Keep up the inspiring work!

Awesome Job! Half if my goal as well. Best wishes on your journey.

Me too - for 16 years! I tried being a vegan for the first year. However, Indiana is a really difficult place (especially at that time) to be a full veggie, so I starting eating fish. More recently, I also eat eggs - especially in the last 10 months since I really kicked up the cardio.

Best of luck on your journey! MFP has really been a key to my success.

I was at the doctor and weighed 382 lbs, was told I was "pre-diabetic" and needed to start a prescription for High Blood Pressure. I wasn't sure I could do it, but I have lost 130 lbs so far (since October of last year) and will hit my goal of losing 192 before I am done!

Lately, I am ranging from 4,500 - 10,000 cals/week running/biking (25% / 75%).

Great start Robb, just turn your current approach into a habit and it will keep coming off. You'll be there befor you know it!

I think there are different schools of thought on this topic. However, I know my personal goal is to try and have as many left over as possible while satisfying my body's core needs. I had/have a lot of weight to lose and I don't want my body to go into "starvation mode" and horde fat as a self defense mechanism. In my…
