Just turned 44 and didn't really get on my weight-loss journey until I was nearly 42. I feel better now than when I was 34!

Fitting start for this group! For me, my 2013 goals are: *Run 3rd half-marathon on April 20th *Participate in Sprint Triathalon this summer *Run a Trail half-marathon this fall *Run 2nd full marathon on November 2nd *Reach goal weight of 190 lbs!

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think you're right. I varied from my training plan because I was worried about not having done a 20/20+ prior to my run. I am in a full taper this week and my Marathon is next Saturday - a week from today. Today's 5-miler felt great and I think I am ready. I am going to keep reading on…

Ditto. I did a Winter Trail Quarter Marathon (at night!) which is just slightly longer than 10K and it was a ton of fun. However, it was also snowy and sloppy wet and treacherous with mud 3" deep in places. That race was much harder than mile road Half-marathon.
