  • I’d like to join! I have 50 to lose but just quit smoking so I am struggling right now. Need some active logging friends.
  • I'm 33, no children but super busy job with lots of travel. Need to lose 50 lbs this time... I log religiously (good or bad) but need some major motivation getting back to exercising. Feel free to add me as I am on every day.
  • Would love to share support, I’ll send you an add request. When I’m not traveling I’m wfh, which most people think would be the problem... home all day so close to my kitchen, but I actually do very well at home. It’s the 3 hour layovers or late nights alone in hotels that lead me to poor food choices and no energy to hit…
  • Diagnosed 10 years ago. Lost roughly 80 lbs initially... gained 10 back this month... and need to lose 30 more :( Just getting back on track now but i only take Spironolactone and Sprintec (BC). For some reason my doc is resistant to giving me metformin for weight loss so she is really pushing me here to get it together. I…
  • Me me!!! I lost roughly 80 4 years ago with WW and MFP. But this past year has been a rollercoaster up and down. Need to refocus and stick with it. Adding you both if thats okay! Got on the scale this morning and saw a 10lb gain from 30 days ago. Strength in numbers!
  • 50 calories of anything probably wouldnt fill me up. But when I'm looking for a fix to the mindless snacking at my desk... my current obsession is baby carrots and sriracha for dipping. Sounds weird but its delish!
  • Just don't stop! Measure everything, track everything, make sure to eat some exercise calories back, and it'll happen eventually. trust me! I go through this a lot lately I bang my head against the wall when im stuck for a few weeks. But its science my friend. if youve created a calorie deficit you WILL lose weight just be…
  • spinach mix, green beans, chicken, corn and boiled egg. My favorite!!! I use a light dijon vinaigrette
  • Friends and motivation here are what help me eat the apple instead of the donut. Power in numbers. Anyone can add me... im struggling to lose my last 20 lbs without giving up chocolate... and slowly but sure we will get there.
  • Not that there's anything wrong with what you did... IMO its awesome. What I usually do... and not because i give a crap what people think but because it makes ordering quicker.. I research before I go out, assuming I know where were going. And before we even get there I've already decided what i'm having. This way I can…
  • Nike Training Club app is FREE and uses mostly body weight. I swear by it...
  • Makes sense.... good to know.
  • ^^^ I agree. With both endo AND PCOS, some months are much worse than others. I like to TRY to at least do a 30 min walk but as long as you're doing well the rest of the month, a few rest days is absolutely ok. Just go month by month, some may be worse than others. I just did a quarter marathon on my last cycle, but the…
  • Depending on how much you weigh... this could be pretty accurate for 30 min of running. I also have the polar FT4, and i think its pretty much in line with MFP exercise database and if i use other apps like Runtastic, they are all pretty close. As long as your resting heart rate is close to normal when you start the…
  • Nike Training club is AWESOME!!! I do the classes at the gym but there is a FREE, yes, FREE app for your phone/ipad. Check it out. I didn't want to pay for a trainer so I do this, mixed with my normal running and I am already seeing results.
  • Working out actually makes my cramps feel SO MUCH better. It sucks getting up and dressed... and mentally prepared. But once you're done you will feel amazing. Take midol and give it a shot.
  • Anyone can add me :) I net about 1350 usually. Of course I'm not perfect, and I make sure to fit chocolate into my goals when I want it or else deprivation leads to binges... and when I exercise (4-6 times a week) i eat most of that back so im closer to 1600. I try and have roughly 5 meals of about 300 cals each through…
  • Runtastic is sort of my backup plan for runs if I forget my HRM... I feel like the calories burned are too high compared to what my HRM usually says so I use it if I do not plan to eat all of the calories back.
  • My own personal experience, 1-3 days. I had a binge last Friday, and was back to normal by Tuesday, with a teeny tiny gain that stuck around. Just add a little extra deficit today if you want to be safe.
  • ABSOLUTELY! My first 60 flew off. Now, 20 away from goal... I'm slowly shaving off 2 lbs a month if i'm lucky, but better slow progress than none. Good luck!
  • One more thought... How are you calculating exercise calories? I discovered I was totally overestimating mine for a while until I got an HRM.... that could be one factor. And do you weight your food? I suck at eye balling and the fat girl inside underestimates so a food scale solved that. Hope this helps.
  • One of my favorite sayings is "You dont have to go fast, you just have to go". The last 20 lbs have taken me a year to lose. But the 50 before that fell off. So I'm going slow... but it's staying off. Be patient, and just keep doing what you're doing. Congrats on your loss so far!
  • Oh then you should be good for a normal lunch. Just pick something balanced, like a salad with chicken, or meat, veggies and brown rice. Soup and salad? Just avoid high fat and too much fiber.
  • Protein and veggies would be ideal, for me anyway. But depends on how many hours before the run you will be eating. I personally cannot have any solid food less than 3-4 hours before a run because it really slows me down. I shoot for a yogurt and a banana or a protein shake. Some people prefer carbs. I am no expert, just…
  • Anyone feel free to add me, there is a PCOS group I joined but people arent too active on it. Its hard to access from iphone. I was diagnosed with PCOS over 11 years ago. My saving grace is birth control pill for periods and low carb/calorie tracking for diet. Have managed to lose close to 100 lbs and still going ( i never…
