I grind my flour and make a nice no-knead whole wheat... works best when I screen about half the bran out first. that said, I rarely have bread because I'd prefer to spend the calories on a bigger bowl of ice cream.

I have about 300 bulbs from about 8 varieties planted out back. I've been giving scapes away to just about anyone that'll take them! Another month or so until garlic season. My favorite for everything is Frank's Red Hot.

Commercially, it's actually made by fermenting mold on (usually) corn-based sugars, isolated with calcium hydroxide, and then combined with sulfuric acid. It is pretty amazing stuff regardless.
