  • I've set my daily limit lower because I exercise daily and want to eat those back, on average on 1600 kcal a day. If I set my daily limit to 1600, then exercise, I end up eating too much and I do not lose anything. It's a psychological thing when looking at the progress chart...
  • Lots of squats. If that bothers your knees you're better off not wasting your money. Loads of bouncing around like you're playing jump rope.

  • I just treat it like circuit training when adding to my MFP diary. Thinking 200-250 calories. Might be a bit pessimistic but at least I know I won't eat too many calories back!

  • I'm in the south east and could always use more witnesses to ensure I stay on the straight and narrow! Also just started T25 a always looking for fellow sufferers...
  • I would love to have more friends on MFP, have send a request, could do with encouragement and witnesses to make sure I keep logging. Am happy to help motivate others too :)
  • I did day 3 work out today (I'm a bit out of sync as suits me to do the workouts at weekends and days off in the week). But the full body circuit tonight nearly reduced me to a whiney, tearful kid! It's all the upper body work, I am useless. When I started I was thinking I wouldn't need to use the modifier, well tonight I…

  • I think everyone has this issue somewhere or another. I have it on my butt and thighs and I have to be really skinny everywhere else before I see results there too, I live in hope that one day I will accept my body shape and that being fit and healthy will be enough!

  • Mines in the RAF, are you UK or US? Same difference in the end, we're getting married in feb which is why I'm trying to drop the excess baggage!
  • Sorry, just tried to 'quote', gone a bit wrong....put a smiley face after quite a tragic comment instead of the funny one about someone's FWB actually being their wife, trying to delete it and getting in a right old mess so had to write something in its place...think I'm gonna quit this forum business!
  • I'm only worried because my mum has been diagnosed with type II diabetes in her 60's and I've always been a sugar addict, I can easily forget about caffeine and alcohol but not the sugar! With my recommended intake set at 29 and I'm always over, I thought I might be missing a trick. Thanks guys.

  • So would we say that may be 50-60g total sugar including that found in fruit and veg?

  • I need some friends too, I go to the gym a few times a week but could do with some encouragement to do some circuits at home in between time. Feel free to add me, I've logged in daily for a month and am 6 lbs down! Chocolate is a necessity, any diet without it is not a sustainable one for me.
  • The good thing is, you can still have the curry, just substitute the extra rice you would have had for extra veg in the curry, still feel very full but with less than half the calories. This is also sustainable than just rice and veg, that just gets boring!
  • I regularly do this, it's why we are all here in the first place, you are not the only one and habits of a lifetime are not going to be broken easily, it has taken me a month to get in the swing of it, logging the bad days as well as the good is useful as when the scales don't lie, at least looking back at the diary can…
  • Feel free to add me, I'm new to. The public forum but been using mfp for a long time on and off. Just need an incentive to keep going! Any one can add me :)
  • And don't forget muscle is denser than fat, so the scales won't change as much but the body measurements will if you're doing lots of exercise :)
  • I find it hard too, cutting back on the food, fitting in the gym and it all comes off so slowly. I'm motivated by the fact my clothes fit me better and I feel a bit more comfortable in my own skin. Need to lose another stone and a bit until I feel completely ok. Used to be over 17 stone in my teens and recently got back up…
  • I do the same, it's all or nothing for me, feel free to add me, I have a stone and a bit to lose but it's a daily struggle for me to maintain things as I am! Used to weigh over 17 stone as a teen, been keeping most of it off since my early 20's but now past 30 I'm finding it harder!
