That is a VERY obvious 5lb loss! Well done- you are looking fantastic :)

Up until 1 week ago, I have not weighed fruit, vegetables or salad (have weighed cheese and avocado if it went in the salad, though). From then though, I have weighed/measured every morsel that has gone into my mouth and obviously intend to continue doing that. I guess this isn't a 'fix my problem' as much as it is it how…

Hooray, thanks so much! And to edit, have been really consistent with weighing ALL food after being quite embarressed that I had been guestimating a few things in the Q and A

Politely bumping just in case you missed me :flowerforyou:

Hi! Great questions- i'm going to friend request you as I've just joined the gym too and have these exact same questions. I have actually asked the friendly and knowedgeable duo over at Eat, Train, Progress (it's a MFP group you can join) to assess what I've been doing and give me feed back. What I've been doing is this,…

I'm with you- I need the numbers, every day. Others don't. So, buy a new scale and ONLY weigh on that scale. Or just go with the new one you have and try to get your head around the numbers, which I know is easier said than done!! Weighing at the gym, the drs and at home does my head in and leaves me deflated- even if it…

What's your current average intake of protein, carbs, and fats, in grams? (GRAMS, not percent!) Do you use a food scale and measure everything? I do have a food scale and use it for MOST things, but I eyeball fruit and veges. Do you track all of your intake, daily? (Everything?) When I first started, 8 weeks ago, I was…

What an amazing transformation- you look fantastic!! And your outlook is so positive; congratulations! Did I read right that you achieved this loss with waling as your main form of exercise? That's great!
-
Wow!! Way to go- now that is dedication. Do tell, how have you been so successful? You look fantastic!
-
Wow- congratulations to you!! It must feel so amazing! Did you just keep on keeping on through the plateau- how long was it? And sorry for so many questions, but did you change anything in order to break trhough?

Love this! Congratulations!

It's certainly not looking like a 'small' group, but I would really like to join :) I would really like to be in a group where we support each other, stay accountable, vent frustrations etc. It would really help me. I'm a 32 mother of 3, aged 2, 4 and 6 and work f/t as a high school teacher. I live in north coast NSW,…

^YES! This! It makes me hysterical when ppl claim to be vegan but eat dairy- it's an animal product, remember *forehead slap*

Now that's what it's all about- what a success and inspiration you are; I hope your daughter has gained some strength from you, too, like I have after reading your story.

I think bananas, and all fruit for that matter, are great, but maybe 7 in a day is a bit much  Great source of potassium and energy; yes, quite alot of sugar which is why I don't eat them every day, but don't worry too much; there's always tomorrow

OMG! No photos! Puh-lease get those photos up, after such a fantastic story, I would just love to see your progress, especially as our stats are so similar; I can't wait to crack the into the 60s :)

These sound interesting, thanks for posting

Your transformation is jaw-dropping incredible!! Would you mind sharing a little about your calorie plan? Did you do TDEE-20% or eat back your exercise calories? Worry about carbs? Have a period of time, a day, a week, where you fell off or gave up? Plateau? Millions of questions, sorry, but it is such a big journey that…

Oooh, this is big motivation for me- can I join please?

Ahhhh, another week almost over! I got sick this week, with a cold. I was wondering if it was related to my committed diet and exercise program- has anyone else experienced ths when they re-commence diet and exercise? Anyway, I have been really good with my food- if I went over a bit on one day I compensated for it on the…

I have been here too. Not excessive binging, actually, I never excessively binged. But if I regretted eating something, or eating too much of something, namely a heavy carb meal at night, I would force myself to vomit it up. I used to say that it was ok if I controlled it to 'just' dinner, but then I started doing it at…

I'm a HS teacher too!

Yes, I registered on MFP a year ago, quite probably, but have been using it for about a week. I think it just said I have logged for 5 days in a row, which is the only time I have ever logged consistently on MFP. Still learning certainly, not sure how to change my ticker yet, certainly don't need the aggression *now knows…

I hear you...I suppose, at the commencement of my weight loss journey, scale number, looser clothing, controlling diet through calorie counting, learning about optimum nutrition/modifying recipes is superceding exercising. Was just wondering how detrimental it would be...

Great response, thankyou. I know how great I feel after exercise, just losing the battle with motivation to do it more regularly :(

Hi Ladies, Poor food choices this week, but still tracking every day, so that's something. Not alot of exercise either! I need to step it up if I'm going get my four sessions in by Sunday! But on the up side, I'm feeling light, if that makes any sense! Hope you're all having a successful week. Weigh in for me on Sunday!

Better late than never! Welcome Emma!. I would love to hear how you plan to shed body fat- I always know someone's got the right idea/on the right track when they refer to it as 'cutting', and I mean that as a compliment!
