Sounds to me like you're doing fine - sometimes even if you do everything "right" the weight stalls for a while, but just do better, consistently, and it'll be good. Slipping a little is only a problem if you give up! I seem to have broken through the plateau I was in, or at least I hope so! I'm working on consistency -…

I just had a two-week plateau, but weighed in a half-pound down this morning so hopefully things are moving again! Still working slowly on the run/walk program - I am adding in intermediate levels since it seemed to jump a little too fast for me, so instead of going from 30 seconds running at a time to one minute running…

That's awesome! I'm cold all the time anyway no matter my weight, but am looking forward to hopefully handling heat better next summer. I noticed a few years ago when my sister lost a lot of weight she quit freezing me to death when I rode in her truck with her!

Also, check the thrift stores in/near the richest part of town. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I've seen nice brand-name stuff still with the tags on it at a Goodwill store near where the very wealthy live! Ross, TJ Maxx and Marshall's often have good stuff too (lots of jeans) - it's usually a bit behind the cutting…

I'm doing a run/walk thing (one that starts much more gently than Couch to 5K) and the first 30 second long run today felt great! The rest of them weren't so good, but a few weeks ago when I was throwing in occasional running spurts just to see if I could, 10 seconds was kind of awful. So I'm improving!

Yes! I was just looking at dresses there today. I want a cute retro summer dress next summer, and maybe one of their cute bikinis, too. I'm also looking forward to not feeling huge when wearing a winter coat, and not feeling closed-in trying to wedge my butt between narrow aisles in stores and such. And I want to go to…

That's awesome! Congratulations!

That sounds awesome and fun! I've always wished I could do that, but I've always been really bad at skating. Have fun! (And anyone feel free to add me if you like!)

I was 128 pounds, once. It was great, I could shop in regular stores and stuff, but I still felt flabby! I realize now it was because I was doing pretty much all cardio... this time around I'm going to add in some weights. I might end up weighing more than 128, but looking and feeling better than then! I hope so, anyway!

I'd do some research into weight lifting. If my body looked even close to yours, I'd be looking into lifting heavy, eating lots (of good quality food) and gaining weight - in muscle. That's kind of my plan for once I'm approaching my "goal weight". You could probably gain a significant amount of muscle weight and actually…

Everyone still doing OK? I'm pretty pleased - I'm losing slowly but surely! And yesterday I officially started a run/walk program. I ran 30 seconds and walked 5 minutes 5 times. Well, jogged, I guess. My running pace counts as a "brisk walk" here apparently. My walking pace is "leisurely" according to MFP, despite the fact…

I'm trying to decide between a really, really nice pair of designer jeans, or a super-cute retro-style dress.

I don't have one - but only for financial reasons. I want a really well done one, and the really good artists are expensive and always booked up! I may reward myself with one when I maintain goal weight for 6 months or more, if I can come up with the cash.

I've lost 16 pounds since April, and one of my things to do this weekend is go through my old "too small" clothes and see what fits. My normal pants and shorts are too big but still wearable, but when I tried on clothes a couple weeks ago the next size down wasn't quite comfortable yet - so I think I'm down almost a full…

I agree with a lot of what's been said - a clear cup with a straw is good, just keep it at hand at all times. Refill it as soon as you empty it. I find if I refill my big glass as soon as it's empty and keep it right beside my keyboard, I'll drink like 4 of them in a work day. If I don't immediately refill it I'll suddenly…

I've gotten used to it, but we have one guy who calls EVERYONE "baby". All day, it's "OK baby" or "you got it baby." And of course, I can go hours without touching my phone, but the second I pick it up to track my lunch or whatever my boss walks by and makes a crack about going on facebook. Umm... you never say a word to…

You can do this!!! It is difficult, but possible. Just take it one day at a time and don't give up! If you are really craving something, try a smaller portion of it maybe, but don't beat yourself up - enjoy it. Just take each day as it comes. Walking is good, but maybe also look into workout videos if you think you might…

Feel free to add me if you like! I'm about a year older than you and a few hours farther north up 85, LOL!

I've been eating healthier since about mid-April, and I don't remember if I had more breakouts at first but now my skin is clearer than it's been since I was a small child (watch me wake up with a huge zit, now that I've said that!). My nails are looking fantastic and not breaking as much, also. So you may need to just…

I weigh myself every morning, but I only record it when it goes down. I know it's going to fluctuate through the week (up a pound or two the day after a more strenuous workout, for example) and I don't let that bother me. I like having some idea of how what I eat or drink affects my weight, and as long as it's generally…

I like the idea of walking more throughout the day at work - I've been using the printer farthest from my desk (rather than the one right behind it!) whenever possible, and trying to work in my jobs (I work at a printer, so I have lots of short-time-required jobs throughout the day) so that I need to get up in between them…

Mine is Drusilla. Her brother's name was Spike - he was my sister's cat, and when she named him that I couldn't choose anything else for her! They're both solid black with green eyes.
-
Can't remember if I answered this one before or not. I think I'm going to: 1) dance around the house proclaiming "Oh yeah! I did it!!!" to the cat's amusement. 2) go buy a couple REALLY nice clothing items - expensive things I wouldn't normally splurge on like a fantastic pair of jeans and a really gorgeous dress, and…

I'm 5'2" on a tall day, and I set my goal for 125. I've been as small as 128 before, and people told me I was "skinny" though I think I actually looked "normal" in clothes. I was still pretty flabby then and could have lost more fat. So I'm going to aim for 125 and revise if needed when I get close. I'm also hoping to work…

I have been using the same name everywhere since i got on the internet years ago, and wanted something different, so I'm using the name of the main character from the NaNoWriMo story I wrote 2 years ago and never finished, LOL!

My sister just had hers out 2 weeks ago - and it was pretty rough. She was on only liquid foods for several days (she tried solids after about 3 days and said that was a painful mistake), and had to take it really easy. She passed out at least twice even after 3 days had gone by. She luckily had someone home with her at…

That's awesome, and very well written. I'm not up to running yet, but I hope I remember this when I get there.

LOL, I literally JUST uploaded a photo for the first time, then saw this topic. I'm not embarrassed, but I don't have any actual photos of myself on my computer - there's a few on the external drive (though not many, I'm usually behind the camera on family outings) but it's not plugged in at the moment. So, for now, so I…

I'd like to go back twelve years and tell myself DON'T STOP WORKING OUT AND COUNTING CALORIES!!! Also, "Don't take that job at the auction company, the owner is abusive and crazy!!!" In 2000 I was the thinnest and healthiest I've ever been. Losing a job and moving to a highly stressful one, plus slacking off on healthy…

Yes, this. For me, during the week I like to exercise first thing in the morning - I get it over with and go on with my day and don't have to worry about it. Weekends are harder for me, I tend to sleep just a little longer and wake up hungry (which I don't during the week), and then I want to eat something, but then need…
