This is brain training. I am terrible at math (I'm a good with my hands not my head type of engineer) but doing formula helps me understand it more. Training the mind in later yrs (42 approaches fast. I'm my head that's getting old) is just as important as the body. (this is my mantra every time I spend an extra half hour…

For me it is, very much so, it keeps me interested, the more I learn the more I understand so I am less likely to fall off the wagon, or if I do at least I have the knowledge of what I am doing to myself etc. I understand where peoples worries comes from on here, there are many people that unfortunately have anxiety issues…

Love this part, I can imagine a Monty python sketch or Marx brothers, having a mass brawl over eating eggs, throwing protein powder in his face and cracking eggs over his head (please tell us all you did this to him) - Yes, you have an idiot for a friend (if he cannot support you when you trying to make the change then you…

My view on this for me is motivation, I know I need to eat healthy, I know I need to excercise etc, but left to my own devices I cant be arsed, so last time I used MFP I found logging really helped, but I was not as rigerous then, Did not weigh, used generals or guesses, but then I wanted to lose alot, over a long time, to…

the only way I know you can change it is on the blue bar above where you type it says news feed, at the other end it says view, change that to summary, instead of all updates, it then just shows your friends posts, but that's... Hope that helps a bit

I have been at this for 5 weeks now, eating an average 200 deficit to what MFP tells me I need to lose 2lbs a week, I should be 10+ lbs down by now but only showing 4 or 5 on the scale, but I do notice my moobs have shrunk and my stomach is less bloated, so lets just stick at it and hopefully you will notice a difference…

Interesting read from everyone, I too am eating at a deficit, averaging 1700 a day when my goal is 1860, and I too am only seeing small losses, 2lb so far in 5 weeks, I should be 10+ down now according to MFP, but he ho you soldier on, what I am doing is slowly changing my eating habits, I too eat crap most of the time,…

I too am English, I could rather stop drinking beer than tea !!! lol. I too drink around 2 - 4 large (pint pots) of tea a day, I also work for a large coffee manufacturer so I can get cheap good quality coffee, so I drink 2 or 3 of them a day also, as well as 2 - 4 pints of water a day. I log them too as I realise I do…

As I say I am happy with my goals and I find them easy to achieve, but 1890 seems a lot for a women only 8 stone 4, my activity is set at light active, hers at active, so I can understand a bit of a difference there, I suppose the 500 a day saving for me to lose weight is what should be the difference but I don't think she…
