  • I lifted and replaced an 83 lbs train knuckle (the metal part at the end of the coupler that allows the car to connect to the next car) at work yesterday. So heavy, so awkward!
  • So, I stopped logging because I felt like it was making me into a crazy person... I am doing conductor training at work and they bring us in lunch every day and after replacing a 83 lbs knuckle I just want to eat the lunch and not panic about how to log this weird stew thing that I don't even know exactly what's in it,…
  • Naomi, I am really impressed to see your stats! We're at pretty much the same starting weight, so that's awful inspiring to me! Towards the end of last week, I somewhat fell off the wagon (as witnessed by my lack of logging... so busy!!).... I was organizing a fundraising event for my theatre company that took place on…
  • I just actually measured out servings of my dinner tonight - which I've never done before. A cup is actually WAY bigger than I thought it was. So, that's good! (I made some Skinnytaste Crockpot Santa Fe Chicken today because it was waaaaay too hot to cook and I am SHOCKED by how much dinner I got to eat!)
  • My weekend was... not great. Not terrible (you know how sometimes you have a weekend and you look at it and it just COMPLETELY undid the entire week that came before?) but I got cranky that I was working and that I kept eating in restaurants and that I wasn't at him and just didn't give a *kitten*. I was going to have…
  • I have to agree with everyone else who has said that reducing carbs has really worked for them. ESPECIALLY with all the mandated restaurants, it's helped me make the best of the worst choices - eating a sandwich open faced, getting the salad instead of fries, or fruit instead of breakfast potatoes, whatever... I can't CUT…
  • Speaking of challenges, I'm real bummed out right now because I ended up staying at working a little late and doing a 14 hr day. And when that was all said and done I just wanted to go to the hotel lounge and have a glass of wine and read a book. So I did. And that's fine, because my actual food calories for the day…
  • I'm rogerschica in the forums... I don't even know...

  • I have a crazy person belief that if I don't go balls-to-the-wall, it's all for naught. And going balls-to-the-wall is HARD. Also, it is hard to eat less than 1500 cal when living in hotels and out of a suitcase... but that's just an excuse and I'll figure that out ;)
  • Height: 5'5" CW: 150 lbs-ish? GW: ... 130 by Jan... and because I think my weight goals are probably unrealistic Pants/Jeans size: 8/29 Goal pants/jeans size: 6/28 Additional goals: Develop a fitness routine and cook for myself approx 5x per week. For the past two years I've been travelling non-stop for work (generally…

  • I am indifferent to mayo but LOVE tuna, so I’m mostly commenting to this to read later. ;)
  • Oatmeal with white chocolate peanut butter and strawberry jam for a very late breakfast. (It’s one of my few full days off and I still feel pretty guilty about sleeping in!) Also, a cup of Green and Fruity tea which it is WAY too hot for.
  • When they ask me if I have food, I always say no. ;) Trail mix, granola bars, etc are easy to get through security but customs can get twitchy about produce. My first career is acting, so I usually ramble about trains and how excited I am to travel down to the States for meetings which gets distracting enough that they…
  • I should clarify that by "giving up" I mostly mean giving up expecting to see any change on the scale/change in inches. (Especially because it seems like I just come down from one flying-caused water retention only to start another!) So far, I've made sure to ALWAYS find a grocery store so I can do yogurt/granola/fruit for…
  • bump! (because tuna is my favourite ever and I wish to steal all these recipes)
  • 25! (And I'm pretty sure I've decided I'm just not aging past here...)
  • The first time I flew by myself, I was 10. I flew from Calgary to Victoria, with a layover in Vancouver. When I was 13, I flew from TORONTO to Vancouver Island with a layover in Vancouver - my flight out of Toronto was delayed so I missed my connection in Vancouver and ended up trapped in this massive airport for about 4…
  • Calgary, right now!... though, really, I've lived all over Canada - you name it, I've probably been there. (Except for Nunavut. And the west coast of Newfoundland. But I'm really really close!) Feel free to add me!
  • Girl, you are SUCH an inspiration! I'm at about where you were in the middle of your journey (though this is the heaviest I've ever been... so I guess it's my beginning) and lately I've been thinking "Well... it's good enough here. As long as I just don't put on any weight, that's probably fine"... This post was just the…
  • GENERALLY, I am attracted to tall guys. That being said, I'm 5'5" and for four years I dated a guy who swore that he was 5'6" but he must have had really bad posture or something because I was DEFINITELY tallrer than him most of the time. And that was fine. I liked him a lot. It took a couple months before I even noticed…
  • bump for later!
  • It's not the greatest picture (since.. you know, sitting... and drunk face) but my trip to Mexico about a month ago was the first time I've been photographed in a bikini since I was a ridiculously skinny teenager 7 years ago!
  • If I like him... for sure! Actually, I've definitely let guys who I didn't like that much kiss me on first days too... If he doesn't try to kiss me, I get awkward and assume it wasn't actually a date. That's how I roll. Because I'm weird like that.
  • I love reading other people's diaries! I log everything (including ****ty travel or hungover days) so I might be a terrible role model but at least I'm honest!
  • Eating a quesadilla in the Cancun airport on the way home from Mexico about a month ago.
  • You look so amazing at 165!! We are basically the same height and I'm a litte bit lighter right now but I feel like if I looked as good at my current weight as you do at 165, I would probably just look at fitness and forget all about the weight loss aspect...
  • I need to be accountable to someone, I think! So I'm in: CW: 141 (according to my mother's scale) GW: 130 About 10 weeks... I don't think that's too ambitious. I won't always be able to weigh on Saturdays, because approximately every other week I'll be out of town for work, but I'll catch up on Mondays during those weeks.
  • Hey girl! Feel free to add me – we’re pretty close in age and have got similar goals, so we can support each other! I travel a LOT for work so my food/exercise diary is kind of ridiculous and all over the place.
