Yeah...me too. I need a support group

I have a digital scale as well and I believe that a hard surface would make for a more accurate weight. Let's see what others think as they chime in.

I need help ditching my scale. It's beginning to rule my life, well, let me take that back...it is ruling my life. I just can't seem to let it go. I feel that if I don't weigh myself, I will blow up....

It's interesting that you brought this up. I recently pulled out my curves book and have been reading up on their metabolic recovery. I have been trying it for about 3 weeks now and I can't really say if it works or not. Now, I don't go up to the suggested 2000-2500 calories per day but I do go up to 1500-1800. The first…

Great post. Thanks for taking the time to research this and post it.

Nuts are a good source of calories and they have the good fat in them. I eat nuts everyday, Almonds, cashews, pecans....I just watch the portion size and choose lower fat options for the remainder of my meals.

I still work out at home but the workouts aren't as intense as they are when I go to the gym. I also understand what the two posters are saying about life goes on even in the winter, I just find it difficult to do it. Maybe that's my whole problem right there and treat the gym as just that and not something to do in the…

Good for you!!!!! You are definitely on your way.

I do plan on moving up to a 1/2 marathon. I would like to do a few more 5Ks and try and beat that 10 minute mile....
-
Thanks for sharing. I am actually doing my first 5K this coming Sunday and I look forward to doing more. Good idea taking your daughter...you are setting a great example!

Good luck....I have been thinking about getting a trainer just to change my routine and keep me motivated, so please keep us posted:happy:

I think I am going to stick with it as well. I feel much better especially digestion wise:blushing: ... and like the other poster stated, I didn't count calories, carbs or fats. The only problem is that I don't think I am getting enough protein. any suggestions.

Thanks for the info. My second run of the week is tonight and I will definitely try your suggestions.

What are mile repeats? I've never heard of it before.

I would think that it's best to rest in between especially if you are doing weight training exercises. Your muscles need time to heal. HTH:flowerforyou:

Good for you. That is absolutely amazing.

Thank you all for your respones. I guess I was kind of freaking out because you hear alot of talk about not eating your exercise calories will put you in starvation mode. Very rarely do I find myself hungry....except that one time last week, but other than that, I usually do fine with about 1200-1300 calories before I feel…

WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!! Great for you. Congrats.
Are you actually moving? Like carrying stuff in? Because if you are, that burns a lot more calories than people think. Look up under the exercise database for carrying boxes, you'll be surprised.
Oh yeah. I helped my boyfriend move and since I was moving boxes upstairs it logged in about 600 calories. So…

I am a die hard peanut butter lover and I will definitely be trying this.....SOON!!!
-
Good to know.. I will definitely keep this in mind. I kind of pass on the carbs later in the day and that's when I work out. Thanks.
-
Sometimes I do. If not, I will have a high protein meal within an hour after I work out. Thanks.

My workouts consist of a 6 mile run/jog 3 days a week and the other 3 I do weight training for about 45 minutes. I do take one day off. But I have noticed that my calories have dropped considerably. Still eating healthy foods, but I guess it's not enough to fuel my workouts. Thanks.
