  • I did my Curves workout today. I stayed within my calorie budget. I tracked everything I ate and drank. Nice day today but quite a bit cooler than yesterday. Too bad - yesterday was a wonderful little taste of summer!
  • I walked for 75 minutes today. It was a gorgeous day - just like summer. I stayed within my calorie budget (just barely). I tracked everything I ate and drank. I've lost 4 lbs this week - so happy!!! o:)
  • Something that has helped me: I make a list of all my favourite healthy meals and post it on the refrigerator. Then, when I'm trying to decide what to have for dinner, I force myself to choose from the list. Over time, your list of "favourites" should grow so that when you're trying to resist temptation, there will be…
  • I know exactly what you're dealing with - we've done work the past 2 years. Part of your water retention is probably due to the takeout - they use soooo much salt, preservatives etc in their food. Especially if you're not accustomed to eating out, it's a shock to your body. Not sure I have a solution if it's your kitchen…
  • I had an awesome first week - down 5 lbs. I was sooo vigilant in sticking to my plan to stay within my calories, exercise everyday and drinking my water. I was really good about not eating unhealthy treats between meals, which has been a big problem for me - I really only fell down a couple of times and certainly not to…
  • I did my Curves workout for 30 minutes. I stayed within my calorie budget. I tracked everything I ate and drank. It was a good day here and tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and warm. I think winter is officially over. Yay! B) Have a great week, everyone.
  • Stairs are 'business as usual' for me - I live in a 2-storey house and enter through the basement - I'm guessing I do 30 flights a day :) !
  • A gorgeous day on the Coast so did our errands on foot - walked 75 minutes. Stayed within my calorie budget. Tracked everything I ate and drank. Have a good week, everyone!
  • Gee, am I the only one who wasn't allowed to watch TV during the day? Our mom told us to get outside and play! I walked for an hour today. I stayed within my calorie budget. I tracked everything I ate and drank. Today was a good day! Enjoy the rest of the weekend, everyone!
  • I completed my Curves workout (30 minutes). I stayed within my calorie budget. I recorded everything I ate. Another good day. Re: Your question, above: I can see having a few 'pass' days. Being ill is beyond a person's control (as are many other things) and is not a reflection of a person's level of commitment.
  • I walked 2 miles on Tues, 2 miles on Thurs, 30 minutes at Curves on Wed and am about to do 30 minutes at Curves today.
  • Cold and rainy here on Canada's East Coast. Luckily I got out and walked early this morning before the rain started. Another good day: I walked for an hour this morning. I stayed within my calorie budget. I recorded everything I ate today. See you tomorrow!
  • I did my Curves workout today. I stayed within my calorie budget. I recorded everything I ate - even the handful of chips!! It was a good day!
  • Hi Everyone, Just joining your group now - hope it's OK that I'm late. I was looking for a committed group and this seems like the one! In response to the 3 questions posed: - Walked for 60 minutes today - I stayed within my calorie budget. - I kept track of everything I ate and drank.

  • I'm back and I'm in!!
  • Hi Everyone, I lost 1.2 lbs this week, brining my total for this challenge to 5.2 lbs. I won't lie - I'd be happier if it was happening faster, and more consistently, but I'm reminding myself that at least it's happening. This will be a tough week for me - we're going to Toronto for 6 days. That's 6 days of staying in a…
  • Hi Everyone, I gained .4 lbs this week. Not at all happy. Saw it coming all week long and felt powerless to do anything about it. • Good morning everyone, I'm down 2.2 lbs this week. I'm so happy! It has been a relatively easy week - no travel, no special functions - it's a good reminder of which habits I need to hang on to when things are more complicated. Activity is a key factor - I need to do something everyday. Here are my stats: OSW: 238 lbs UGW:…
  • Good morning all, I am down .4 lbs this week. That's 2.2 lbs, overall for this Challenge. I'm happy to be moving in the right direction. I struggled all week to get, and stay, in control. I'm winning the war on snacking in the evening - which is a big big win. I'm also getting back into the groove of exercising everyday.…
  • With the long weekend coming up, I'll make my mini challenge ensuring I walk on those 3 days. With my husband around more on those days, my routine often goes out the window - so this weekend I'll endeavour to either drag him along or leave him behind. With regard to adding extra water: I'm always in for that one!
  • Good morning everyone, I lost 1.8 lbs this week. It was a bit of a struggle getting back on track so I'm happy to see positive results. I'm trying to focus on 3 things each week - this week was: No eating between meals, regular exercise, and drinking sufficient water. For the coming week, I'll continue to focus on exercise…
  • My plan is to get back into what worked for me before: eating healthier (a lot less bread and junk and more fruits and vegetables) and regular exercise.
  • Starting weight for this Challenge: 202.4 lbs. Goal for this challenge is 187.4 lbs.
  • Hi all, I am Marlene from Nova Scotia. I am retired and I turned 60 last month (still wrapping my head around that notion). I've been working seriously at losing weight for the past 2-3 years (OK, really, all of my life). I had lost about 60 lbs but, in the past year, have re-gained about 20 lbs. So, really not happy about…
