I haven't read all of the other posts, but you can't think of it as a win or lose type of thing. Losing weight and keeping it off takes longer than just losing it! Life gets in the way, but you have to keep at it, or at least not sabotage the work you've put in. Do one thing at a time. Set a goal to do that thing for the…

Definitely right here! I'm seeing my body fat% go down a bit with my scale and my weight go up and down a little. It's expensive, but getting a scale with body fat% recorded too is awesome! You see how much lean weight you have. Scary at first if you're really overweight, but it helps me put things into perspective!

^^^THIS!! Lol. 'That's like 400! I can't have that, I'll be starving the rest of the day!' 'That's only 128, not bad at all!'

I know I'm 5" taller, but I wanted to put my 2 cents in! Haha. I'm so happy for you accomplishing goals! And the ladies on the first page of posts had great advice. I calculated my TDEE for my weight now at "light exercise" with the calculator a previous poster said was good, at 195lbs 2343. And my goal weight of 145:…

My aunt uses Fitbit one or zip and likes it a lot. My mother and I have the Flex and love it. My brother had the flex and just upgraded to the Force and likes it a lot. I know that Fitbit has a training program that's a yearly thing for $50. It gives you reports based on others your age and a lot of other things too. (you…

I definitely think it depends. A friend's personal trainer told her no, since she is trying to lose weight. Not everyone on here is necessarily trying to lose, some are trying to track what they eat and maintain. Definitely do your own research and try to ask personal trainers at different gyms if you can and get their…

Same kind of thing with me! I didn't use MFP much and then decided with my new years i'd recommit. I've been logging faithfully since the first! Down 10lbs and ready for February! Woohoo! Great way to stay on the other side of the statistics everyone! Here's to another month!

Thank you all, I'm so proud of myself and even more motivated to keep going seeing even this little change! And I do dress a lot in black! Haha! But I was out in public with the black clothes on and at home working out with the other! But still, I agree, I'm becoming more confident! Thanks all! :)

The way I look at things, is day by day. I set my goal to 'be within my calories for the day' (and also set a limit to how much over i can be too without guilting myself). Small goals help me the most with my loss. I have my daily goals, weekly goals and monthly goals. My daily goals help my weekly and weekly helps my…

On my playlist, I have a lot of Linkin Park, some Ellie Goulding (lights and burn), Wop by J dash, some Skillet, Ke$ha, Strobe by Deadmau5 (starts off slow, so a good warm-up song) and my current "powersong" is Another Nightmare by Outline in Color. Just a nice mixture of hip hop and really fast, up-beat rock.

This. Definitely. Haha. I don't skype too often though.

I know this is super late post, buttt! I found a different site that calculates different exercise and calories according to weight. With my weight (197lbs) it evens out to about 5.1calories per min. So definitely a small amount. But if agree with another poster about it being nice to know how much you're burning! It's a…

Definitely weighing and recording accurately. Make sure the amount of calories you're consuming is enough and you're not 'starving' yourself either. Change up your diet and exercise. Plateaus can happen for any number of reasons. A routine is great but your body will try to maintain on what you have if you do it long…

I'm also so confused on all of this! Have the same issues. I'm not even sure what my daily calories should be or what I should go off of. I don't know what I have fitbit set on for how active I am, but I changed mfp to sedentary. Which puts me at like 1250 calories I think. But I don't know whether to eat my exercise…

That is loads better than me! I jogged for 2 mins at 4mph yesterday and that was my accomplishment! GREAT JOB! Keep it up! You'll get faster and faster!

Girl you look awesome! It is hard when you compare yourself to others. But compare to where you were at! Look at the difference! You look amazing! Enjoy the summer!

I can definitely relate to the clutch. My mustang's clutch catch point is at the bottom so I always have to have the seat adjusted just right. I know there have been plenty of clothes that I want to fit in and haven't. Tight spaces I want to squeeze but can't. But I think my main reason is I'm just tired of being…

Do your research around online to see approximately what you should be eating calorie wise per day. Make sure you log in your exercise too, even if it's an approximate. Then you can play around with your net calories or goal calories. I know I weigh more, personally, after I've had junk food even if it's within my…

Haha, very funny! Anyone can feel free to add me :) Good luck to everyone single one of you!

As far as birth control vs none, I think I am more hungry with it, or it lasts longer. However, if I don't have birth control I'm in pain 75% of the month! Anyway, It's right around pms time for me. I know I can feel the hunger coming in. So what I'm doing is making sure I fill up on protein really well to help me feel…

I have an idea of how many calories I am going to eat in what I normally eat. So I try to do a bit of both as well. I know approximately how much my breakfasts and snacks will be. And then I adjust for whatever dinner or lunch I have that day. I try to mix it up so I'm not eating the same thing every day either. But having…

I'm 5'7 and my goal right now is to get to 145. And depending on how I look then, I might lose some more. When I get closer to my goal I'll focus on my fat% more than my weight. But I think most people do that when they hit goal or are close to it.
-
I know right before my TOM I get insanely hungry anyway. However, just like the other ladies said, don't even stress it. Don't weigh yourself and don't get discouraged. Just try and keep up with everything you're doing and drink lots of water! You'll be fine in a week.
-
Girl, you're doing fantastic! Keep up the good work! And yes, I've had the same issues too with the fad diets. And you can really eat more quantity wise with quality good for you foods! It's amazing! Best wishes on you finishing up! :)

Cut into the breasts (not all the way through) equal lengths apart. Put them in a plastic bag, toss in some marinade (I use light italian dressing, 10 cals per T) put in the fridge for about 15 mins then try it that way! I think it gives everything (steaks and chicken) more flavor without overpowering it. Slicing it…

A lot of people like to start out with C25k (Couch to 5k) running/walking program. It's great if you're just starting out and there's a lot of tools to keep you doing it. And it's only 3 days a week with longest being like 35-40 mins I think? Good luck!

Great job! I definitely like that you said what worked for YOU and it doesn't mean that it works for everyone else! A lot of people can lose by eating more. I'm playing with my calories now to see if I can do well on a certain amount of calories and more or less. Great job!!

maybe she can cheer up and get help from you! Make it a family thing!
