Try not to worry TC, life happens to us all! I have an April 9 marathon coming up too, and I was only doing half-marathon distances before coming down with pneumonia in December. It was mild, thankfully, but I was pretty wiped out so have only been back out running again this month. Maybe have a look at some other plans,…

Bump for when I'm ready to move on from Strong Curves...
-
I usually just log LBT as circuit training or calisthenics.
-
Snap rabbit, except my boobs were the first place it went... 36DD to a 34C/D. My face, hips and butt are also disappearing but my belly is sticking around for the ride... so generous of it...

Hi ladies! I'm getting married on 20 June, congrats to all you brides. What's your plan? I started in March to try lose 10lbs (to get to 9st 7lb - 133lbs - kind of an arbitrary number but it sounded nice in my head) and appear to have got stuck at 8lbs down. With all the prosecco coming up I don't think those 2lbs are…

The bars are good too for when I have a chocolate craving!

Congratulations on your weddings everyone! Is anyone from the UK? I'm a June 2015 bride and hoping to rock some awesome arms by photo time (my own arms, obviously...) Good luck everyone! Would love to hear more about your plans.

Hi Rose I just log Davina or Jillian DVDs as X minutes of circuit training or calisthenics under cardio - it's not 100% accurate but then I don't have a HRM or anything like that and I always find that most workout DVDs are roughly similar in terms of exertion anyway...?! Hope this helps!

+1 for porridge & coffee breakfast! A good breakfast will get me about 9 miles, and for runs longer than that I quite like jelly babies (I'm in the UK - do they have them in the US?) Personally I got put off gels as the first ones I tried tasted like fake tan which was not cool... Just keep putting the miles in and finding…

"Jillian, will you marry me?"
-
Ladies in the UK - have you tried Lessbounce.com? Not sure if they deliver to US  but there are loads of reviews on that site from women of all different sizes/requirements, so you can read up on the different brands PS. All about Shock Absorber (Run) or Panache (underwired) for my DDs! PPS. I have no relationship…

It could be the shape of your ribcage too. You can pretty much always see my ribs at the front even when I have "fat wings" on my back...
-
Hey, snap - I first "met" Jillian when I was 145lbs and 24 (2 years ago). I'm now 130lbs and just finished another cycle of 30DS in advance of my beach holiday. I love 30DS (just under 30 mins) and NMTZ (45 - 50 mins) and just got BFBM as a birthday present, tried it last night for the first time. Do you have handweights?…
-
Ooh is Killer Buns & Thighs good? I do love Jillian's DVDs. My sister swears by Davina McCall though...
-
I did 30DS too and didn't lose a pound but did feel a difference in my abs. Yes I didn't expect to enjoy BFBM as I am not so into aerobics but I did get a good workout. Though I'm not sure my downstairs neighbours enjoyed the jumping moves  NMTZ is the same 6 minute circuit structure but is more calisthenics…
-
I did BFBM for the first time last night too! Yes I was a bit of a sweaty mess but really enjoyed the kickboxing moves and found it went quickly. I do prefer No More Trouble Zones though, I think it's a more interesting variety of moves. I think I'll work it into my routine, what about you guys?
-
Whereabouts are you, OP? I'm in London and yes, sadly, it's 6am for me too as the evenings are still v warm. It's not so much the heat as the pollen count in the evenings... I will do the odd run at midday and just take extra water.
-
Yes, I log it as calisthenics 20 mins - gives me 157 cals which seems about right looking at Jillian's numbers (I'm 5'4, 130lbs).

My experience FWIW... My mirena was perfect for 4 years, no pain and no monthlies, then the symptoms you ladies describe above, really bad cramping and bleeding (like full on for eleven months) kicked in. Right that Mirena doesn't work for everybody. The problem for me was getting the GP to LISTEN... My doctor told me that…

LOL - when your hubby says "So, you know when you disappear for three hours every Sunday morning... and come back all hot and sweaty... should I be worried?"
-
Hey all, late to the squat party but I caught up! Did Day 1 before and Day 2 after my run. Great group! Hotpants here we come...
-
Can I join you? Though in the UK so starting a day late...
-
^^ This! Inspiring, thanks  OP, I started running to aid my lung health a few years ago. I was petrified of other people seeing me (and hearing me) puff and wheeze until a friend pointed out to me that everyone in the gym or on the road is there to do their OWN thing, and you're there to do yours. Sounds silly but I…

I am soooo glad I found this group - strong ladies unite...! I did my first Workout A on Saturday as part of my "let's get serious" drive after three weeks of being sick (and finishing the festive eating) - I didn't start at 35lbs, I started at 25lbs - but gotta start somewhere... Workout B tonight!
-
I've just been sick "below the neck" and unable to work out for 3 weeks! I did try a couple times and just felt dreadful the next day. OP, I vote let your body rest, your trainers aren't going to run away from you
-
Have you done a lot of running before this week? Maybe take a rest day. A pt who trained me for a marathon said it takes about two weeks for your body to "learn" running improvements - including rest time, so I'd have a stretch or maybe a swim day and you won't lose anything you've gained thus far. edited to add... that's…
-
Also from the UK and also 5'4"!! I don't sing in a band but I do perform too (comedy shows) so I totally hear you - it can be dispiriting when people see your body as ALL that you are. Add me if you like I'm new to MFP too
-
Agreed with the above posters - I don't like running with a belt and only do so if I'm over HM distance or if it's unavoidable (e.g. no corner shops on route!). However once I did a half on a warm day that claimed to have water stations at 4 and 9 miles... but there was only one at 8!!! Always helps to check the course…
-
I did it a few years ago Pip... it's only 3 days but i. was. MISERABLE, but then I am very much the sort of person who goes into "diet = deprivation" mode... perhaps if you're a bit more determined than me you'll be ok  Did it three days before a last-minute holiday but it just meant that as soon as I had my bikini…

Hey Hollie, I am in a similar position! Do you have a slow cooker? It's not essential (a big pan would do), but I find mine really handy for eating on a budget because I can make huge batches of curries, bolognese or chilli. If you don't have one you could always check out freecycle.com, perhaps someone in your area is…
