Why are you binging? Hunger? Comfort? Stress? If it's hunger, then I agree with others to eat more during the day. If it's comfort or stress it's a little more difficult. I'm a comfort eater and I go for damage limitation. I have in a few packs of weight watchers cake bars/chocolate biscuits. If I want to binge, I binge on…

Not sure what you're currently eating, but you need to find foods that you get quite a lot of quantity for the calories, which includes fruit and veg, low fat dairy, lean chicken, fish, lentils. Also some food that keep you fuller for longer, like oats and wholegrain rice. If you try to avoid processed food you generally…

I have 140 lbs to lose in total (16.5 lbs lost so far), I'm mother to a 9 year old daughter, I have a sedentary job, and I'm a comfort and stress eater with at least as many excuses as you. Like you I woke up yesterday with my motivation back, after spending the last year re-losing the same few pounds. I will send you a…

I've got a fitbit flex too, but no friends on it yet. Not sure how to add friends from MFP. I won't be much good with challenges with you though, as my average is only between 4000 and 8000 a day Edit: Went on to my fitbit profile and my public URL is //www.fitbit.com/user/38CF36 Happy to have lots of friends

I'm also just returning to MFP. It can be so difficult to keep the motivation up, especially when life gets in the way. I have a big long term goal, but it is rather off putting so this time I am setting little goals and rewarding success. Very short term goal - do 30mins exercise 5 times this week, and be within calories…

I've just sent you a friend request. I'm also a returning MFP'er. 37/F/UK and agree that the inches are more important than the scales. I'm also in to the clean eating thing. I much prefer proper butter that I know exactly what it contains than low fat spread that's full of chemicals. Not really in to exercise, but know I…

I'm a mother of an 8 year old. Friend request sent

I'm in West Yorkshire, so not too far from you

For iced coffee I freeze skimmed milk in an ice cube tray, then I make a normal black coffee, and as it is cooling and the frozen milk. Tastes nice with regular coffee, but for a treat I use some flavoured coffee. All the taste of a syrup, but none of the extra calories

I have a 7 year old daughter, who is driving me mad with the school holiday. If she had her way we would eat out every day and go to the ice cream farm and bake and eat lots of cake. Not what my diet needs :) If anyone wants to add me they can

Feel free to add me. I have 140lb to lose in total, 17lb down so far

I'm starting again today. 3rd time starting MFP, but many more lapsed weight loss plans in the past. Been trying to lose weight for 13 years now, successfully twice. Determined I will get there eventually
-
Another starting again person. Will have a glass or two of Baileys tonight, then it's back to being good with what I eat and doing exercise in the morning
-
I'll eat what I want on the day, but it will be just the one day, it won't spread into a month long food fest like it so easily can do. Also in the past sometimes I have eaten till I have been too full. Determined I will only eat till I'm full, and therefore avoid the bloated sick feeling afterwards

I can't eat anything fatty within 2 hours of bedtime. My body seems fine processing it if I'm upright, but it can't cope with it when I lie down. Stomach just churns all night

Leeds is always sunny :) Hello from Yeadon (NW Leeds), feel free to add me

The book is on my Christmas list. The lasagne is a great idea, but I'm allergic to leeks, so planning on using thinly sliced aubergine or corgette instead. The pies are definately on my list of things to try too.

Agree that allowing yourself a treat is the way to go. On my shopping list every week at the bottom is 'Kat treat' Without it there I walk round the supermarket putting in loads of treats amongst the weekly food shop, cos hey I deserve a treat, but in reality I end up with loads of them. By having it on my last I go round…

Hi, another UK mum of 1 with 140lbs to lose here. Only difference is I'm 35 and up in Leeds. Feel free to add me. I'm a bit off track at the moment, cos I've just had 2 holidays in 3½ weeks, and I'm exhausted, but I'll be back on track and filling in my diary by friday.

I've refilled with regular oil before, but it clogs up the sprayer cos it's too thick, so I looked at the ingredients, and it contains a lot of water, so last time I topped up I used oil and water, and as long as I shake it well before use it seems to be working pretty well. Not quite as well as the original stuff, but…

I get my meat, fruit and veg at the local market, it's loads cheaper, and fresher. For toiletries, washing powder, loo roll, tinned stuff, packets, soft drinks, cereal etc check out B and M, Home bargain, pound stretcher, or similar stores. These things are often loads cheaper there. Also my main money saving at the moment…

I was doing Slimming world (like weight watchers, but slightly different plan for those non-brits that aint heard of it), but after a good 3 months I plateaued until I left and joined here last month, and my weight loss has major kicked off again. My problems with slimming world were firstly you could eat as much as you…

Traditional for me means different things, but generally by cooking and eating traditionally I mean - Cooking from scratch whenever possible - Eating locally grown season stuff where possible - Growing what food I can - Minimal chemicals and artificial things in my food as possible. My mum always says "If it aint something…

Won't fit in, also I use wii fit board, andgoing camping, no electricity for my hols. Seriously, if I'm on holiday I want to enjoy myself, not worry about what I eat. I know what's good and what's bad, so try to make some sensible decisions, but won't go without treats. Also I walk loads when I'm camping, so that with…
