Can't see your diary or anything, but try to avoid spiking your blood sugar and it crashing... eat slow digesting carbs (brown rice, beans, blah blah blah...) and try to avoid simple sugars... (and yes fruit is fine unless YOU find that eating it is giving you a rush and then you crash.. everyone is different) Me,…

I can't view the link, but I love take string cheese, cutting in half, rolling in egg and then rolling in flax meal and baking! Made zucchini fries last night the same way ????

Hey everyone, thanks for the tips! I actually stopped low carb for sometime.. a few weeks. BUT the past 3 days I've been back doing it. Finally in ketosis today. It's funny, I knew it before I even peed on the darn stick. I felt exhausted, my body ached, and I was not hungry at all. This time around, I'm determined, and I…

I'll join! :)

They're a bit expensive, but a big lasts you a while! I get the Bob's Red Mill ones at our international farmer's market here. The bulk bins at Whole Foods usually have them also.

Bump. Does this apply if you have carb up intermittent carb up days?

It's like eating icing.. and it's high fiber. I put it in the fridge to solidify the oil for tomorrow. I can't wait for breakfast.
-
That's true, but if you're eating enough insoluble fiber then there should be some bulk. I'll check on caffeine content of that tea! I just don't feel... Idk.... Cleaned out! ;-)
-
Thanks everyone! Going to go get flax meal and chia seeds today. I forgot I was using those before. I've heard of the smooth moves tea... is it caffeinated? Where do you buy it? I'll admit I've eaten whole boxes of Atkins bars to get things moving. LOL trying not to do that. ;-) I'll cut out the nuts when the bag is…

I'll try more chia seeds and flax. Have been out for a few weeks... The thing is I'm using up all of my carbs with Metamuci (which is psyllium husk)... I eat veggies at pretty much every meal. Eat any more and ill be going over my carbs! Guess I could cut the nuts and up the veggies... But the fiber is about the same.…

Actually.... I have tons of energy today! It's when I get back into ketosis that my energy is zapped. Yeah.. I've not had the energy to go to the gym at all. I'm going to go today though since I do have the energy. Nothing hardcore, maybe just a long quick walk. I'm on my feet all day at work running around anyways. I walk…

I think I will try upping the fat to around 75-80% for a week and see if that helps the adaptation period :)

Thanks for the replies everyone! I do take a Super B complex as well as a multivitamin. Perhaps it is the diuretic effect of the diet. I drink aroudn 1.5 gallons of water per day as well. I believe I'm getting enough sodium because I'm even adding a pinch of himalayan sea salt to my water bottles. But it definitely could…

I agree with the eating more fat. :) I find eating a salmon fillet w/ skin cures all of my cravings!

Thanks everyone for the replies. :) I have read that guide, actually I read so much weeks before I started. LOL. I don't feel bad about the weight gain, I was actually expecting 4-5 pounds :D I've definitely slimmed down just from those 10 or so days of low carb (even if I wasn't in Ketosis....) I actually started this…

Oh, and before anyone says I'm eating too much... I have tracked it and from working I walk 15k-20k steps and burn around 3,000 calories per day.

Look into "Eat More To Weigh Less" in the group on MFP. There's also a website now. I had the same exact problem.... and I was also eating 1200 calories per day and working out 3 hours per day and losing NOTHING. ..I did a full metabolism reset for a couple of months, and now I can eat nearly 3000 calories per day…

Eat more.

I workout 30 min to 1 hour per day (3 days strength, 2 days cardio, 1 day doing something physical outside) and eat 2200-3000+ calories per day, and I've lost 100 lbs.. I'm 5'8 and currently at 180lbs. Eat more. Weigh less.
-
Depends on the person... if I don't keep my carbs at around 20-30%, I won't lose weight... Just mess around and find out what works for you!
-
Lift weights lift weights lift weights!!!!! It will do wonders... I have the same problems, but since starting lifting, it's improved a LOT! Your skin already looks tighter than mine does... so I say it again.. lift lift lift lift and LIFT HEAVY!!!!
-
I'll add... I was working out 6 days per week about 3 hours per day (cardio and strength...) and eating 1200 calories. I would gain 5, lose 5 and repeat. Talk about frustrating. I upped my calories to 2000... YES 2000... and lost 5lbs the first week... and have been losing since... Actually when I'm going to the gym I eat…

My nutrition professor says things like "Noone can EVER grow properly on a vegetarian diet. I was at work and this mom ALREADY had her 3 year old as a vegetarian!!" and "Noone should EVER drink whole milk. It's just not healthy" and "You really should eliminate about 95% of fat from your diet. It should makeup no more than…

My favorite is the 365 Whole Foods Brand. It dissolved quickly and I use it in just about everything i can. Can't really taste it at all! $13.99 for 30 servings.. but I usually get about 40. Edit to add there is a product called "fruitein" that I absolutely LOVE that's fruity and creamy and yummmmmmy! I also get it at…

I've had them since I was a kid! You can see my 4 year old boy, Blizzard, on my profile! Feel free to add! :)
