i track carbs and fibre. say i've eaten 14 carb and 3 fibre, just subtract the 3 from the 14. i know i'm at 11 and can eat 9 more grams for that day. i don't care much for %, i just eat 20 grams a day.

i do modified atkins induction, which sounds exactly like this diet plan. i eat what i want as long as i'm below 20 (or 30, depends on veggies) i don't need a book to tell me things i already know though :D

oh, another thing i did at mcdonalds - stole a fry from each other my kids, chew them up, them spit it a napkin. so i got to taste it, but not swallow it and get all the carbs, haha.

i eat cream cheese pancakes a lot. 2 eggs and 2 ounces of cream cheese, blended and cooked like a pancake in coconut oil add butter. you get your fat up fast =] ground turkey is sorta lean right? get ground beef (80%) have a nice steak instead of chicken for lunch! country style pork ribs.

eating fat from food doesn't mean you will get fat.

can't see your diary, but perhaps you're eating too many carbs. some people can't lose weight by only restricting calories. ditch the sugar, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc. stick to protein and vegetables for a while.

i have a garden and try to utilize farmers markets as much as possible for this reason. on the other hand. you're not a rat. the 'studies' show how it affects rats, not humans.

as a low carber, i eat any and all meat. grilling is the best way to prepare anything if you ask me ;) i even grill my veg ;D i just substitute the sugary laden BBQ sauces for homemade ones.

i've made these. the texture is fry-ish but the taste is nowhere near it. they're sweet.

bacon bowls are great, i fill mine with shredded lettuce, mayo, pickles, and tomatoes. it's like a blt salad! i bet chopped hard boiled egg would be frickin fantabulous in it too.

if you want to get into ketosis, it won't happen at 100 for sure. might not even happen at 50. some people are really sensitive and can only eat 10 grams! i agree with 20 grams of clean foods. no frankenfoods.
