I have the same problem. I don't exercise over 30 min at a time. If I do, I take a break in between. Or do some in the am and some in the evening. It's frustrating, but that's how it is. :/ I always stop while I'm still feeling good.

I've been successful when, instead of seeing myself as a person in a life-long battle with food and my weight, I *see* myself as the thin person inside, and behave like that person. Otherwise, I am always fighting the fat person who rationalizes just one more bite of this or that--which the thin person wouldn't eat in the…

Stay strong. It can be frustrating. ( I know.) Hang in there. <3

Do the lace up the back. On top of everything else, you don't want to be so squeezed that something rips, pops, explodes, malfunctions on your special day. Or even worse, what if you pass out? Trust me. You're the only one who will know. Congratulations on your weight loss-that is phenomenal!! Celebrate that..and do the…

How long have you been on the medication? Nausea and diarrhea are some of the side effects that can happen when you start taking oral meds. Congratulations on the weight loss!!! And best wishes with your ongoing battle. Let's face it. It IS a battle..our bodies are addicted to carbs and it's not easy breaking the habits of…

Best wishes, and do take care of yourself! <3

Watch out for herbal teas. Some of those have a LOT of sugar in them.. not "sugar" per se, but things like orange rind and other ingredients. My experience with some of these is that I can get more of a sugar rush from a "natural herbal tea" like "Red Raspberry Zinger" than if I just ate a piece of chocolate. :'(

and in the meantime while you are trying to figure it out, you'll just starve to death. LOL Or get desperate and eat half a bag of Oreos.. *sorry* feeling cynical about measuring food. o:)

My face, my boobs...my hands and feet.

I would recommend not having cereal for breakfast. I know. Heresy, huh. Cereal raises your blood sugar and a bit later, your levels drop and you feel hungry again--even if you still feel full. Start your day with something satisfying. Try hot oatmeal with a banana sliced in it. Whole wheat toast with turkey and a cheese…

If you push her to change--no matter WHAT kind of change you want to see--you will push her away. She will resent you for not liking her the way she is, she will rebel. Even if she KNOWS she needs to change her lifestyle, she will resist--simply because you are pushing her to do something that is not her choice. I should…

You also might look into taking extra potassium.

And some people wonder why folks trying to lose weight get discouraged! Seriously, if one wants to be that precise... that is a LOT OF WORK. Ugh. Seems like the time would be better spent exercising...and you can just "guestimate" the calories. JMHO o:)

I agree. It's YOUR body, it's your health. I'm sure your doctor would not go back to an auto mechanic who tells him: "your car needs work. Here's the bill. I'll see you again in three weeks." In order for you to proceed with any degree of success in lowering your blood sugar (That's what the 8 is; your A1C level.. Do look…

Re: Yogurt.. Dannon has a Light and Fit Yogurt; Cherry Chocolate. 80 calories. Scoop it into pretty dessert dish, eat it slowly. OR! Eat HALF a container--save the rest for the next day.

I'm a chocoholic, so I can sympathize. You want chocolate. You've probably planned ahead and allowed for a "treat" or two in your diet plan, right? Alrighty! Get out your best placemat. Set it on your table. Light a candle.. Put your one piece of chocolate on a lovely china plate. Make yourself a cup of hot tea. Pour it…

That burned up 14.5 calories! :drinker:

I love your sense of humor. Now. Be NICE to yourself and hang in there. I don't believe in "shaming" because.. well. it only works when you're making fun of yourself, but has the opposite effect if you're on the receiving end. :flowerforyou:

Hi Kathy: I hope that you can find a new physician who will address your concerns and get you in touch with a dietician. You might check with your local American Diabetes Association and see if they have some free classes in your area. It's certainly not easy to deal with this condition, and anybody (professional or…

Good for you!!! Congratulations; each accomplishment is fabulous!

Everybody and every body is different. She's obviously jealous that you have a personal trainer. Are YOU happy with your weight loss? Are you eating Real Food and eating healthfully? Ignore her jibes... just smile and congratulate her and go about your own routine. Be yourself. Nobody else is better qualified.…

I can understand why you're upset; especially if you thought you deserved this extra recognition. Unfortunately....(sad to say) that's life. Don't let this event derail you from your weight loss efforts. You are your OWN best cheerleader; don't depend on other people to recognize you and reinforce your goals--even when you…

I'm in. I'm 63 years old, but I admire the fact that you've stuck with this. So. I can help provide encouragement and you can provide inspiration for me!

Asparagus Red bell pepper... grilled Kashi Go Lean Cinnamon Crumble I like this because it is SOOO CRUNCHY I put about 1/3 cup into a tea cup with some dark cacao chocolate chips, and eat it as a dessert in the evening when I have some extra calories left. It satisfies my NEED for something sweet, and I love cinnamon. Tuna…

I agree. It sounds like you're doing all the right things.

I'm a type2 diabetic who is addicted to carbohydrates and denial; not necessarily in that order. I would be more than happy to add you as a friend. However: a) I'm a 63 year old woman b) at 5'4" I'm a whole 12 inches shorter than you. For the first 2 reasons, I feel that what I eat and how it affects me and my weight loss…

I try to only snack in the afternoons.. We eat breakfast about 8:30 so lunch isn't that far off, and I can usually handle it. For munchies I depend on: a couple tablespoons of low-salt dry roasted peanuts (watch out! They contain SUGAR as an ingredient) Almonds; I buy them raw and roast them myself in the toaster oven.…

For me... it just gets tiresome. I have to stop thinking about "why" and focus on the positive. There are just so many negatives about being type2. Don't eat this at all, don't eat too much of that (even healthy food... It makes me depressed and discouraged. I almost have to put myself on autopilot. I make healthy foods…

That's great news! Way to go!!!

My biological mother was a type2 diabetic. My adoptive parents were mid-westerners and I was raised on a "clean your plate/ meat and potatoes" diet. As a young child I was normal.. my mom thought I was too thin. At the age of about 7 I had my tonsils and adenoids removed and... I started eating. Food suddenly tasted…
