I try to work in things like 50 to 100 squats or lunges for lower body, and this gets your heart rate up as well. On YouTube, I also found some cool standing ab routines that don't take up a lot of space as well.

Hmmm... I would track it under wii fit exercises. There is one option where you can log it as Wii fit low intensity or high intensity, so I would just track how hard you feel you are working out or go by your heart rate, and then choose either low or high intensity.

I think it is good for a fun alternative or getting younger kids into exercise. If you are trying to burn a lot of calories, I don't think it is the best choice as it is all fairly low impact .
