After losing 80 lbs on Adkins - and keeping it off for 8+ months, family madness sent me spiraling into old emotional eating. That lasted for a long time, and over time I gained all of it back plus. Then several years later I lost 40 with a 'diet plan' and exercise, but hit an emotional block. Just stuck. Once I started…
As long as you are having to use 'diets' to force yourself to eat right you are always going to be fighting a losing battle. When you change your feelings fundamentally on food, that is when you will really make a difference.
Love this. It really hit home for me!! I have continuously told others I am not…

Thank you, Thank you!!!! Love new recipes and low calorie options.:flowerforyou:

You've obviously made great progress so far. Congrats!! I can't see your food diary, so don't know what things have been like lately for you. I wouldn't open things completely to eat anything and everything you used to 'crave'. My trainer does have me do some 'carb cycling'. So typically, I only have a max of 45 grams of…

You really are inspirational!!! Congratulations on dropping the lbs, but also on the fabulous health gains!!! Getting off so much prescription medication is AWESOME!! Keep up the great work! Oh, and Welcome to MFP.

I have been on this journey a very long time. Lost a lot of weight with Adkins, gained it back plus; lost a lot of weight with Metabolic Research Center, gained it all back plus; Did well on my own another time, but 'fell off the wagon' and quit. This time, I restarted due to health issues that wouldn't be put off. I also…

I am going on vacation in a couple of weeks, and will be gone for two weeks. I am very worried about the same thing. Looking forward to seeing some answers from others. Sorry you are having a rough time right now. Hopefully once you force yourself back into the routine for a day or two, or a week or two - you will be back…

I am on track, but because I lost a bit faster at first. I want to lose 2 lbs a week, but lately haven't been hitting that. Still going the right direction, so that helps. Even though I am on target and happy with what I have done since December, I still HATE the way I look, and the numbers on the scale and tape measure.…

How did I get so heavy? The initial reasons, toxic family. Much abuse of every type you can imagine. Then came the learned behavior of no portion control on good or bad foods, and emotional eating - after dealing with toxic family. Now, no excuses. I can't change them or control them, and I don't allow them to control me…

has anyone tried to use the wearlink+ strap with Nike+? Is the strap on the FT4 or FT7 the same one needed for that compatibility?

That is a very tough decision. I am so sorry to hear you were so ill. I hope all is better now. Were you given an opportunity at all while you were out sick to get a tutor, or any way to try and stay up? Have you talked to your parents, the school guidance counselors, and the counselors at Purdue, Ball State, and IUPUC?…

I don't do cheat days. I do have planned meals every so often that I account for ahead of time - birthdays, girls night out, etc. I work extra hard the day prior and day of, as well as next day, and HYDRATE, especially if alcohol is part of my 'treat' night.

Great job!! I agree with those that say you can't 'spot' lose, but you can tone up the muscles in those areas. The squats/ lunges/ chair dips are great. Tricep kicks for the backs of the arms, too. The good ole push-ups are great, too; not just for the arms, but your whole core.
