44yo 6' tall 191lbs Bust - 39" Waist 35.5" Hips 41" My goal weight is 165 so I hope my waist gets smaller. I've never had a tiny waist but between 3 pregnancies and my age it is just not there anymore. I'm already finding it so much harder to lose weight than I ever did before. Full blown menopause is around the corner and…

The only way I get exercise in is if I get up and do them before I start my day. Since that is a sacrifice of sleep I can commit 30 minutes. I chose a 20 minute work out (5 min warm up and 5 min cool down). I use Jillian MIchaels DVD's but there were others. It is truly only 30 minutes since I don't have to leave the…

I am too and I agree, lol. Banana shape is the most common though or so I've read. I will post mine when I can get home and measure. I very much wish I could melt away some inches on my waist. I have 25 more pounds to lose and I'm hoping that helps.

I ate everything not nailed down with all my pregnancies (except first part of #3 - to sick) and some of my kids are picky and some not - or picky in different ways maybe. I was horrendously picky as a kid and kinda picky as an adult so I may have more patience with it than most. ;) << Not advice btw. I ate all the healthy…

I have completed that video twice since January of this year. Stick with it - you can do it!! Some background data (to show that if I can do it there is hope for anyone, lol). I did not exercise previously. I have a desk job. I'm 44yo. I weighed 211 lbs when I started it. In the beginning I had to do every single…

I still use the olive oil but might try some others after this thread ;) I find it waaayyyy to overwhelming to make a major overhaul all at once. This is what worked for me when I first started: I made out some meal plans for lunches for the week. Not something different for every meal but a 'rough draft' so to speak…

You really should get some professional guidance. Of course you can lose weight and still eat healthy but there are specifics to your situation that a professional needs to help with, both with how you think about it as well as logistics of how to eat and exercise. This site is not equipped to provide that level of support.

Just wanted to comment on the bicycling. It will work and isn't hard on feet/knees. There was a time in my life when I biked a lot and my legs were rock hard. I didn't do it for training so there was no real method and I didn't do anything else either. It just takes time up out of your day - probably more time than weight…

I started Ripped in 30 on Yesterday. I tried it once before and quite after Week 2 because it was so hard, lol. I plan to stick it out this time - although I have not even watched the last two weeks so we'll see, lol. My legs are sore though so it is nice to switch things up a bit.

Everyone is different. This is one of the hardest parts of weight loss for me. I lose weight - nothing changes. I want to *see* something. I started at a loose 18 and I'm still wearing those and have a couple lose 16's. I've lost 37lbs and 1 measly inch off my waist. I'm not a 14 yet. I just tried some on today :( I so…

It might help to plan out all your food for the day/week ahead of time. Every meal and every snack so you aren't tempted to splurge. You'll know when your calories are coming.

the meals i eat on my own I just switched over to healthy and was done. No problem. I like healthy food. I like the unhealthy food too, lol. I still struggle a lot with the meals I cook at home for my family. It is hard for me to resist, prepare a separate plate, not get seconds, etc. It is towards the end of the day when…

I didn't take any rest days in the first three weeks either - for that very reason. I take one a week now and I find I do feel much less worn down. I encourage you to try taking just one day off next week. You might get the oomph back. I wake up early to do mine and so sacrificing sleep doesn't help but I don't know what…

Everyone is different. You have to plug in your own numbers to come up with a starting point and tweak things as you go and figure out what works and doesn't work for you individually. I have a desk job so I'm not very active. I did 1200 calories a day and ate back my 200 calories from 30DS. I was hungry all the time so…

nice! Congrats!!! I would meet and/or date someone. I've never done it though. There is usually never anyone close enough to meet up with.

Around 900 plus or minus. That leaves me around 700 plus or minus for supper and snack.

Oh - also - my knees hurt like crazy at first. :( I complained all the time about it. I did get better shoes and that probably helped but they hurt for a good two months (I did 30DS, then two weeks of something else, then 30DS again). My knees though - OMG. I told myself that I would finish this second round and if they…

I'm on the last few days of my second time through it. I do each level 10 days and then move on to the next level, regardless of how well I'm doing the current level. I log it as circuit training. I do it 6 days a week but I do not do any other exercises at all. I've lost weight each time but I am tracking calories as…

You can google 1200 calorie diet and get some meal plans or speak with a nutritionist or dietitian to get personalized help in setting up 1200 calorie meal plans that work with your taste and life. Plan them out a week in advance and then go shopping so you have the food.. The pre-planning works wonders for hitting calorie…

Great Post! I have had a week or two here and there with no losses too. Keep on keeping on! It came off fast the next two weeks for some reason. Our bodies don't have a calendar :P I get on the scale nearly every day and so I see all those blips where it goes up a pound too. Those are also normal. If they freak anyone out…
