55 here and I work out almost every day ..never take off more than 1 day in a row and no more than 2 days in a week. 50-60 minutes of circuit alternating 5 mns treadmill with 5 minutes weight machines and push pretty hard. Legs one day, arms the next. Tread at 3.7-4 mph. I couldn't do more than 1/2 hr of treadmill at 3.5…

You are a treasure!! Thank you so much. I'm sure I'm perfectly fine at the weight I'm at and no, I'm not a naturally skinny gal. I carry an extra 15 very easily so I have to keep up my workout to maintain. I'd say I'm an average sedentary with a desk job so I'll go with the 1.3

OK, let me get this straight... My BMR X 1.2 = 1529. In order to lose weight I'd need to eat less than 1529. How much less? And on days I exercise, I eat those extra calories? Right now my body fat is 18.8 and I'd like to lean down to 16 or so. It seems that if I eat more than 1200 cals a day I start gaining again. Also,…

This is very scary and enlightening at the same time. I've been on MFP about 5 months, never eating back cals and usually way under my allotted cals (around 1000) While I lost quite a bit quickly, my weight has plateaued and my instinct is to eat less. Now I realize that I need to eat more, based on this info (Thanks…

5'6.5" here. 55yrs old, solid size medium, weighing in at 129.5 and I'd still like 5 more off. Started this round at 143 which looks fine to everybody else but always makes me feel chunky-style. 128-133 is my comfortable, not starving weight, but I'd like to reset my set point to 125. ETA: forgot to mention Body fat is…

Another vote for the Ninja! I had a Blendtec and sent it back. It really was no improvement for smoothies over the Ninja for a fraction of the price. I used a magic bullet for years but I think the Ninja is better. I use the smallest container for smoothies and it's perfect for a 16 oz glass.

Oh crap! I knew the 100 Cal Slim a Bear Klondike bars were too good to be true.

I rarely, if ever, eat over 1200 and I'm never hungry. Tons of fruits and veggies and protein. Vegetarian style-ovo/lacto. Feel free to take a look.

I'm loving PB2 for tons of reasons! http://bellplantation.com/ Tastes great, low in calories and fat, mixes easily and reconstitutes, yummy in smoothies and yogurt.

5'7" here, 54 yrs old, size medium I've been as high as 165 and as low as 125 but I find that my comfort range is around 135. Easy to maintain. When I feel like getting skinny I can get to 128 but it doesn't last long. With careful eating I can maintain 133 easily but I tend to cheat and sneak up to 138. I'm headed back…

Nightly popcorn eater here! I love Vic's Lite. MUCH better than air-popped for not a whole lot more cals. and then when I really want to indulge...Whole Foods Herb is aMAZing!!! The popcorn I've used in the air popper is so flat in comparison. I've used Orville R and Jiffy. Are there any kernels that puff up huge and taste…

when I really have a craving for bubbles, I use plain seltzer and a few drops of Root-beer liquid Stevia or I have a Zevia or Cascal ( http://www.cheerscascal.com/ ) Yummy and guilt free...but only on occasion.

If I go up to a standard 1200 cal diet I gain weight back. That's why I'm going the 1200 calorie route now for the long haul. It's easy for me to lose weight when I'm starving all the time but when I return to a normal diet of 3 meals a day, even at a reasonable range, once I've adjusted to the lower calories, the weight…

I see it this way. and JMHO BUT... I easily lose weight on a restriction of 1000 cals or less. I can lose weight quickly and feel great doing it. No loss of energy..if anything I feel even more energy. That's probably from restricting certain foods like sugar and refined carbs. But losing weight isn't the problem. The real…

Frozen Cherries are amazing. For an extra special treat, pour 1/4 c of cream over them and the cream freezes! No sugar. They're like candy and ice cream all in one.

125? To maintain 125 I'd have to remove a limb. I'm 54, 5'7' and when I get to 133 I look skinny. I've been as low as 128 for a minute or 2 but it never lasts. I'm aiming for 133 even though my ticker says 127. THAT I can maintain with out to much starvation and a moderate amt of cheating.

Does knitting count? If so, then I'm a burnin' fool!!

Quorn scares me. It seems to be completely processed and man-made. Nothing natural bout it from what I can tell. Even though it is yummy, I think we're better off eating more naturally sourced food and saving Quorn for special occasions (if ever)

OMG! Such a difference! You look healthy and beautiful and vibrant. YES!!! a definite difference!!
