Cardio without Strength training: my thoughts on this topic are simple. Runners/ cardio bunnies are not only soft, but objectively fat (skinny fat) now the issue of health arises. Fat secretes estrogen (fact) estrogen promotes heart disease and cancer (medical fact) so I think that brings me back to my main point. It isn't…

J. That comment was to Grama and the misinformation about sugar.

skinnier? What is your body fat %? Running typically metabolizes any tissue thats easy for it to burn (which is not always fat) its easy for your body to use stored glycogen and muscle for energy. In my experience (60 plus clients including tri-athletes) runners still remain soft and squishy STRENGTH TRAINING is the real…

Do not focus on weight. What you can do is train specifically for recomposition. You can def trim down your hips but instead you could do that and increase the size of your shoulders creating a really nice taper . I always tried to fight my true frame until i learned to embrace it and improve it.

Any 8th grader that paid even a little attention in biology knows this is ABSOLUTELY FALSE. Perhaps you attended school during a time when we didnt have the knowledge and information we do today. I am also a fitness professional, and am stunned by this statement. It is scary-wrong and i would recommend until you brush up…

Cortisol (stress hormone) is high in the morning. I think it is best to get a few meals in before you workout. That doesnt mean a few sips of a shake followed by some light cardio and breakfast shortly after is the worst thing in the world....lifting probably not before a meal. I personally prefer to W/O much later in the…

As mentioned in previous posts, while you may not GAIN weight , you are likely not promoting proper nitrogen balance. I think all MFP members need to realize NOT hitting your calorie goals is not necessarily a good thing. Be more focused on where it's coming from and when. Consider spacing your food out and making protein…

If you read my reply to the other poster you can see my story, my situation is a little different considering this is not just for general fitness for me. Regardless. The same rules apply to any lady looking to build. To answer your question it was a little more like year and half.

I had a strategic plan since I knew that post show it was easy to gain fat and start to look sloppy I increased my protein slowly over a 6 month…
