I don't know about for weight loss, but I take it for my cholesterol. It is hard for me to determine the weight loss because when I started on it, I also radically changed my eating habits. I have yet to burp fish from taking it :laugh:

Welcome! I am newly diabetic myself. Diagnosed about 2 months ago. I also believe in an open diary so feel free to take a peek. I am controlling my diabetes with diet and exercise (not as much exercise as I should, been in a slump). But, my #'s have been good. I will send you a friend request too!

I ran into this situation when I first began this. I just chose the healthier foods, limited the unhealthy and took something healthy to share. You are in control so make your choices count, You can be participate in functions, just use your knowledge and will-power!:happy:

I have never thought of it as getting rid of it, but my Doc calls reversing the diagnosis and, honestly, I like the sound of that. So that is my ultimate goal.

Even before my journey, I would joke that you just "rent" fast food as it always made me sick afterwards. If that would have stopped me, I wouldn't be here now trying to reverse its ill effects. I know how you feel. I knew I was overweight but thought I was ok otherwise. Had a health screening at work and my sugar was high. Went to the doc and she confirmed I am diabetic. I have radically changed my diet as well and am trying to be more active. Congrats on losing so far. Feel free to add me if you like!

My slap in the face was being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I already knew I needed to do something, but that is what finally kicked my butt into gear!

I ignored my body as well. Instead of being borderline, was diagnosed type 2 diabetic about a month ago. Keeping everything in check so far with diet and exercise. Good luck with your goals. Feel free to add me if you want.

I am pretty new to this as well. I read the nutritional labels on everything and figure what will satisfy my hunger/craving and if the serving size is worth it. Hubby is starting to hate to go grocery shopping with me. I eat 6 times a day on average as I am someone who likes to snack. It seems those 6 times really help…
