Dating in your 30s is a lot more difficult. Generally, people have experienced quite a bit -- been married, had children, etc. so there can be some baggage or more selectiveness with the folks you do go out with. Some people also think that because they're in their 30s, they're running out of time to live the cookie cutter…

Are you still looking for a buddy? I go to LA Fitness in South Phx -- 24th St & Baseline and have been wanting to try Zumba..

Thanks for your feedback everyone! My TDEE is 2258; so 1,200 seems more or less on track for what I'm aiming for if eating 1k less than my TDEE is the way to go. I'll make sure I listen to my body and bump up the food intake if I need to as the week progresses..

I didn't even think of asking the LA Fitness rep if classes were included! I like Gold's because if you just want access to equipment, it's $10/month-to-month with whatever start up fee no matter who you are. LA Fitness seems to come up with nonsensical pricing that's more or less different for everyone which is pretty…

I was quoted $39/month and the guest policy was really vague. I've read that membership fees vary by site (and rep that you work with) which stinks. I wonder if Anytime Fitness fees will drop since LA Fitness will be their new competition? Too bad more gyms can't just have a flat rate for everyone, like Gold's. :\

I started late and am on Day 9 of Level 1. I have a hard time with the pushups and still have to do modified pushups. After trying Level 2 last night (I was curious) I really think I'm going to have to conquer the pushup battle. Does anyone have any tips to help build that upper body strength so I can actually do more than…

I'm in. I joined the June group but couldn't finish because I got very sick so I'm all pumped to start in July!

Day 1 done. I only have 5lb weights so I struggle with the lunges and I can only do the modified pushups all the way through. I'm shredding it again tonight because I can't make it to the gym before they close. Yay!

I've been doing it on/off for a while when I don't feel like going to the gym but now is a good excuse to start doing it in addition to the gym so count me in! I'm going to go kick off Day 1 now :D

Cottage cheese, a packet of Splenda and fresh fruit is my favorite.
