Senior in class should be controlling any kind of partner drill. Most places I've been say if a junior student is going too hard, then you need to punish them some. If someone is trying to jump at you full strength then sweep or throw them. Control the session.

Maybe. I don't know about everyone else but I try to eat up the calories for smaller burns, maybe 300 - 400 and under. Once I'm above that, I usually am under. BUT my BMR is at 1900 so, I have a lot of wiggle room.

I really believe for the most part its not the style you practice that matters; its 1. The School you attend and 2. The effort you put into. As long as you find a quality school to go to and put the effort in, you will see a big change in very quickly.

Pretty much the same as you. I take a multivitamin (nearly) daily and a heart health with Omega 3,6,9 flax and borage oil. I feel like Im missing something else in there. Also, some mornings I take Animal Flex which is like a joint support and lubricant.

I usually do about 3/4s of my time as one of the default martial arts workout on myfitnesspal. Of course if its a less intensive class, I'll clock more. But yeah I'd say clock about 35-45 mins per hour you train.
