  • I keep a can of pineapple juice in my desk at work and very handy at home. It seems to react quicker than candy. If my BG has been running low then I might eat something before I work out to keep it safe. Eating more often will also help to keep the BG level at a reasonable level.

  • My dogs are my new running mates. Bonnie is a black border collie/lab mix and I call her my perfect dog. Lulu is our other one, she's a Vizsla. She's awesome too! Wish I knew how to post pictures!!

  • Hi Sharon - The Dr put me on a basal insulin about 4 months ago. On my visit one month ago, things did not look good at all so he cut out everything except the basal insulin, a little Amaryl, and a fast acting insulin for when I would go high.   • Thanks for posting. My week was bad too, nice to know I"m not the only one. I am going to restart week 2 again. My issues were other parts of my life getting in the way. I HAVE GOT to learn to say no so I can do my runs!!! And of course pizza was brought into the house which is ALWAYS bad for me. Not sure why i can't eat…

  • Nice job! Seems like I've been on all the meds at some point and they all stop working.... I was on Metformin but that was very hard on my stomach as was Byetta. My dr just stopped the victoza and put me on insulin and I still take the actos. It is really working well. I have one that I take every night and then another…

  • I just started week 2. I track the walking and running separately also. I use an app called map my walk on my phone. Hoping to someday run more than walk and then I can get the map my run.......... LOL
