I am a Turbo Fire fan. I tried so many like Insanity, 6 packs in 6 weeks, Zumba, etc. but Turbo Fire is still my favorite.
-
Birth trainers. I tried different ones but ended up doing it bare foot.

I just had grilled green, red and yellow pepper on toast this morning. It was delicious. Next time I will add some pressed cottage cheese for protein.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroid after the birth of my first child. I kept gaining weight and after my third child I was at 173 lbs. I accepted the fact that being overweight is inevitable with thyroid issue. Three children and complete lack of energy in the later part of the day was messing up my life. I decided to join…

Other than eating right amount of calories, you need to pay attention to your carb, protien and fat proportions. I had to increase protein in my diet to start losing. I am also stuck on my last ten pounds.

If you search, you will be surprised to find so many south asian foods on MFP. Just try to use the ones with complete nutritional info. If not, you can add a recipe with all the ingredients you use, and you will get more accurate nutritional info. I eat a lot of Indian food. Even though most Indian foods are listed in MFP…

I finished the Insanity program, but I had to spread it out a little more. Also, modified some of the steps adn took frequent breaks. Even with that, I dreaded doing eash session until the end. I had to push myself to do it. However, it did help me a lot. It boosted my fitness to the next level. I rejoined gym right after…

Same here. I started Turbo Fire with cross trainers. Ended up with sore knees and feet after first two weeks. I went and bought shoes with flexible soles. That did not help either. Finally, put some rubber tiles under the rug and started doing it barefoot. All the soreness disappeared. After finishing Turbo Fire, did…

I am at the last week of Insanity. It is hard, but not dangerous in any way even for teens. I wish that my teenager would do it. Not all kids like traditional sports, and it great to see that the PE teachers are offering different choices.

I know how you feel as I have lived with hypothyroid for 17 years. I always believed that my weight gain was due to thyroid (part of which it was) and it was impossible to lose weight for me until.......until a nutritionist at gym convinced me in 2009 that I could lose weight. He did an assessment and gave me some numbers…

I started Mid-March.

I am trying the same thing. I had 10 lbs. to loose but it was not happening with 1200 net calories. After reading all the posts, I increased it to net 1400 and gained 3 lbs. Not sure what to do anymore...

"Weight gain when starting a plan that involves any form of higher intensity resistance training is inevitable. It is fluid retention caused by the body repairing damaged muscles. The work you do with bands in TurboFire isn't resistance training along the lines of the bodyweight work you do in Insanity. So yes you will…

Thank you all for your responses. It is true that Turbo Fire is great for over all body shape. It does have some strength workouts with bands. Also, Turbo Fire schedule is 20 weeks compared to 8 weeks of Insanity. That could be another reason. I have been gaining weight with Insanity, hopefully in muscles as my clothig…

I added some of the Insanity titles as well. I just looked up, and it showed only what I added.

I am also trying to loose the last 8-10 lbs. I go down a couple of pounds then bounce back to 146. I am eating 1200 net calories and working out. (on my second month of Insanity) I don't know what else to do.

done, not in one shot though. Did 45, 25, 20, 30 and then last 30.

Look up Tiffany Rothe....great 10 minute or under video that can be repeated 3 times in one session or split according to availability.

See if this soy product is available in your area. The company claims that it has 54 grams of protien, 0.4 gram of fat, and 28 grams of carb per 100 grams. There are several recipes available online. http://www.ruchisoya.com/products_nutrela_tvp.htm

Fat-free greek yogurt and cottage cheese are a great source of protein w/o fat. Also, red kidney beans, chick peas are great sources.

Agree with everything. I lost 30 lbs. before joining MFP. I was always cold and had to double up my blankets. Not anymore though. I guess your body adjusts with time. I had to buy a whole new wardrobe, new belts, new shoes, and new glasses. Did not mind buying new ones, but it was a little hard parting with my favourite…
