Yah, stayed with 650 engine

The SV is a budget bike that cut corners on Suspension to be cheaper than the GSXR. It's got a great Vtwin engine though and is very popular. Basically, I took all of the parts that Suzuki left off and put them on myself with a donor GSXR :D I'm also the tinkering, mechanical type so it's fun for me to do.

I ride a 2001 SV650. I've completely Franken-biked her. 2008 GSXR Front end, rear wheel, R6 brakes and MC. ZX-10r rear shock and brakes. Buell headlight. I don't even know how to identify her anymore.

lol you're not measuring your food and your weekends are killing your progress. Don't eat more to lose more. Silly. Stick to your calorie goal, weigh your food, and track EVERYDAY. end of story.
-
basically what everyone else has said. Exercising helps you retain muscle mass, regardless of how fat or skinny you are.
-
You're eating more than 1,100 to 1,200 calories. Simple as that. Weight/measure everything you feed your face.

The hand-held calcs are in-accurate. The online calculators can point you in the right direction if you use a measuring tape. Calipers aren't very accurate unless you have expensive ones. If you want to post a pic, I can give you BF% within a couple %

this. once per week. my day is Friday. pick a day, weight yourself after using the restroom in the morning. /thread

although lifting is great advice, it has nothing to do with your belly fat. as a few here have mentioned, you may need to lose more than 20 lbs to hit your goal physique. i know that in my own weight-loss journey, i would have already hit my goal weight twice. we hold more fat than we think we do and we have less LBM than…

Stop worrying so much about burning calories during a workout. Instead, change your eating habits. It's so much easier to eat less calories than it is to burn them off. Additionally, burning 1,500 calories per workout will burn you out, quickly. That one hell of a workout, 4x per week. You'll fall off the wagon.

Well, you've just made your theory less plausible. You were blessed with good genes. You're definitely celebrating it. Kudos for that much. Other people with different genes and body structures (actually, most people) aren't as lucky as you or your father are. It works the same way that NFL athletes are gifted with greater…

Watch out for Bill!!

You and Sparticus. The ice bath isn't that bad! lol you'll be fine.

Usually 6:00 for me. I like to be able to see =)

I did the TM in May and must share the same sentiment. I got shocked and it didn't hurt at all. People psych themselves out about this last obstacle b/c the YouTube videos floating around. Don't watch them. I just put my head down and ran through it. After 2 secs I was like, "what? I'm done?"

Didn't read every post but HONEY... love it

I love how the cake turned into a reasonable sundae as well! LOL Shows that you're making better choices!

I think challenging yourself is healthy! You're trying to beat yourself, which will make you better! Definitely celebrate your successes, but don't become complacent with what you've already accomplished.

add pull-ups and chin-ups. Don't use the little assistance mechanism. If you can't do a pull-up/chin-up, hold your chin above the bar for as long as you can. Rinse and repeat. Chin-ups and pull-ups are amazing full upper-body workouts that are too often neglected nowadays. I started focusing on them about a month ago and…

I think that both are over-shooting it personally. I usually round down. In this situation, go with 350. Then, if anything you've under-quoted your cals = greater deficit! a heart rate monitor may get you a little closer, but I don't think those are completely accurate either. Just continue to err on the side of caution…

This is why we take pictures! It's crazy what you see on film that you don't see in your every day life. the brain adjusts to gradual changes making them invisible, but the camera doesn't lie. Stay the course!

I think it's better for fat burn. Some do not. You'll find equal parts in both camps =)

No Smith machine. I always do HIIT (or any cardio) after lifting. You can still be pretty efficient with time. If I'm HIIT'ing after lifting, my workout is normally 1.5 hours at the most.

I know you didn't want to turn this into a pity-thread with everyone telling you that you look fine the way you are. You are over-analyzing, as all of us do. 1) Don't assume that this said guy shares the views of everyone else, b/c I doubt he does. 2) Strength-training would help you more than anything, to answer your…

On the same token, you posted just to bash her post, so you guys are even-steven.

I don't. i go 4x per week. I skip wed, sat, and sun.

Speed work and hill work will reduce your time greatly. Speed work = set intervals with recovery in-between. For example, 30 seconds of all out sprinting followed by 2 minutes at a reasonable, jogging pace. Repeat 6-10 times. You can do this on a treadmill or on a track. I think that a track is more effective. Hill work =…

PER OUNCE. You have 5 oz, you just ate a meal....

My guess is that whatever was on that TV is what she wanted to watch. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm guessing there were TV's lined up in a row, right? Were they on different channels? Maybe I read it wrong but she might have wanted to watch Dr. Phil or whatever instead of Sportscenter.

I most definitely do! Coffee is 99% water (or maybe down to 90% depending on how much of a cream addict you are) Why wouldn't you count 90-99% water as water intake??
