To me... it's all really a guessing game no matter how you look at it. I initially used MFP... but then reactivated my bodybugg. Then eventually bough a Polar HRM. What I have found is MFP > Machine > Bodybugg > HRM. So I use the HRM and figure that the lower number is safer. But then, I suppose that has potentially flawed…

Nice one on my right knee... torn (and totally reconstructed) ACL my senior year in highschool. Tore it on a pulling sweep play. Just ended up going over on it with all my weight when I went to plant. Yay. Heard 3 "pops" when it happened. The doc said the first pop was the initial tear and the other 2 were the bones…

If you use it, you have to make sure to mix it properly with water. It's supposed to be VERY good for you. My mom swears by it. Just get the stuff with the "mother" in it. Organic if at all possible. It's supposed to be good for metabolism and heart health (blood flow). I was using it for a while as a home remedy for acid…

I don't see anywhere in here where the article states BMI of 30 = Morbid Obesity. It's just one reference indicating the VLCD is typically restricted to morbidly obese individuals... and then goes on to say that it produces results in folks with a BMI of 30 or greater. I agree that it's a bit of a crossed channel, but I…

Biggest reason for this is that the treadmill is pushing you, not the other way around. By increasing the incline, you then are setting the push in the same manner that you would when road-running. If you are a toe-striker, that shouldn't be an issue. If you are a heel-striker, then it could be awkward for a while.
