I frequently do longer fasts too, including 36h+ at least once per week so the current IF feature is pretty much useless. Simply needs to support whatever start / end we want to log without complaining about and arbitrary 24h lkmit
-
Yeah, it’s still way too limiting for those who do longer fasts such as 36h / ADF or longer.

+1 my protein target is the MINIMUM I want to consume, not the maximum…
-
And durations >24 are desperately needed too!
-
Agree. I’d like to be able to see net carbs in my Home Screen in the app too.
-
100%. I do a 36h fast every couple of weeks and regularly do 20-24h but can’t log them effectively with mfp so I’m stuck with using multiple apps which is a shame!

Would be much more useful if it was based on a rolling average of the past 7 days for example
-
It would be far better if the 5 week prediction was based on say. 7 day rolling average tha. In a single days intake. As it is currently pretty much useless if you follow any kind of fasting routine which includes very low or zero calories on different days
-
Yeah sadly the fast tracking is just too limited to be useful. Need to cope with more flexible / varied fasting routines, and definitely to be able to cope with >24h fasts too
-
Also fasting for > 24h too. I currently do 36h every other week and that’s not possible to record in mfp.

It's a good start, but falls kinda short in several ways, not least that it only supports a very limited range of up to 16h fasts by default, and for many 18:6 or 20:4 are common, and personally I like to do 24h once a week and 36h (dinner through to breakfast 2 days later) every other week and there's no way to log those…

About four years ago I managed to lose 26lb in my first two months. Another 8lb or so in the month after that. I kept if off for a while until an injury knocked me right back off the wagon and 90% of that went back on over the next three years. I'm literally just starting again this week, we'll see how it goes!

Not strictly true. It's not simply about calories in / calories out. Many people are becoming insulin resistant over time and they will definitely see a dramatic difference in adopting a low carb strategy. If you're interested in this stuff I highly recommend reading Gary Taube's excellent book Why we get Fat and what to…

No way, the peel is where most of the flavour and nutrients are. Just wash them before eating

Sunday is my 'cheat' day, so no guilt needed! :-)

Thanks! :-)

I set out to run 25 minutes as part of the 'Couch to 5K' running programme. I had a proper 'Forest Gump' moment and ended up running for about 1hr 10mins and completed a 10.5k Trail Run.

Awesome.. That's what happened to me on the last run of week 4. After the warm up I just kept running through to the cool down. 21 mins total. As that was basically the same as W5 D3, I skipped week 5 altogether and jumped straight to week 6, which I've just completed the steady 25 min run no problem and looking forward to…
