C25K week 5 20 min run

Hi,
Just had to tell someone that understands - just started week 5 of C25K and felt ok after the first 5 mins so thought I'd carry on to 8 mins (the day 2 run), got there and still felt ok so carried on and did the full 20 mins without stopping !!
I'm so pleased with myself - I was a bit apprehensive about this week's runs and thought I'd never be able to do 20 mins but I think not planning to do it helped - no pressure and I just kept going,

I'm a very happy chappy! (well chappess!)

Awesome.. That's what happened to me on the last run of week 4. After the warm up I just kept running through to the cool down. 21 mins total. As that was basically the same as W5 D3, I skipped week 5 altogether and jumped straight to week 6, which I've just completed the steady 25 min run no problem and looking forward to three more of them next week.

I still can't say I'm actively enjoying running, but it's definitely getting easier!

    Thanks everyone!
Ilyo - I think I'll do one more 20 min run and then move up to week 6. I just want to make sure it wasn't a fluke!
I've registered to do a 5K run on Sept 2nd and hope to be able to just finish it, not really worried about time jsut want to get to the end. If I can do it in 30 mins or less I'd be thrilled.
I actually quiite enjoyed it today - only the last 2 mins or so started to hurt a bit.

Fingers crossed that I can do it again!

Well done! I've got week five next week, got one more of week four left! Doing a lot better than I thought I would, but got heckled last night, so feeling a bit nervous, still, going out at 7am tomorrow so doubt there'll be anyone around

    Don't let them stop you!
Sunday mornings should be quiet so get out there and prove them wrong!
    Good luck!

Congrats! I know that feeling as I was in your shoes not to long ago. The funny bit for me, after a few weeks I was able to run 30 mins straight. Issue was, that was only 2 miles! lol I am no where near a 5k in 30 mins. I have my 2nd 5K today with my first a month ago (41:26 finish). Good luck with yours!

I remember that feeling when I did Week 5 Day 3. I was so convinced I would quit after 10 minutes but I did wind up making it all the way through!

I just completed Week 6 and am due to start Week 7 tomorrow, which is the 25 minute run.

I'm nervous but I after running for 22 minutes on thursday, 3 more minutes won't kill me!
