I find that preventative maintenance on my hands works best. I used to tear a lot. Now I shave my calluses down, sand them and put a heavy creme type lotion on them at bed time. If I do tear I use A&D ointment...heals them right up. Unfortunately Crossfit is the sport with the ugliest hands but if you work at it your hands…

Naked for sure! If the facility wanted you to keep your clothes on there would be a huge sign saying so. Saunas and hot tubs are so much more comfortable without clothes. Birthday suit baby!!!!

Probably is you bathe in it - other than that . . . ?

I had the same issue! I just filled a position where the new hire started today! I actually had an applicant I offered the job to turn it down because it "sounds too much like work"! Really?!! Friggin' ridiculous! And I'm in the states so it's not a UK only problem - it's the entitlement generation!

First - determine what your goal is. Do you just want to loose weight or are you wanting to tone up, add muscle, etc? If it's the latter then you WILL need to consume more than 1250 a day. You can not build muscle at that level especially not knowing what your BMR is if you haven't figured that out. EVERYONE will loose…

I am now even though I'm about 14 or so pounds to goal. I guess that's because I with the changes in my body each day I become more confident in the way I look, and more importantly, liking what I see looking back at me in the mirror. Even went to a nude beach this summer which was a very liberating feeling. NEVER would…

Welcome. I've been on here a little a year and a half. Lost a bit over 32 lbs but most importantly lost lots of body fat. Went from about 30% to 16% (tested this week) I'm not at goal yet but I'm a work in progress. Kudos to you in finding a way to carve out "me" time in your busy life. I'm 47 and the father of three…

Nope - not alone. I'm not into watching sports on tv. I do like live hockey games and if I come across a hockey game on tv I will leave it there but I don't go out of my way to find it. I just have other things going on and other things to do.

Fantastic fun - did one in January with the kids. Loved it! But just as arc918 said - crazy overpriced - but worth it at least once. They do have the best medals though, hands down!

I think my stomach getting flatter, actually having pecs rather than moobs and most likely not having a ****ie-do. . . ya know, my stomach sticks out farther than my . . .

You old pair of shoes you have trained with - the average shoe is really only good for 500 miles and if you've been training for any length of time it's time to get rid of of them. Wear them in the Mudder then donate them at the end. I think more important is the socks you choose - get some trail sock that will drain water…

I do 3 days a week with some form of cardio in between. Only advice I can give is make sure your box and trainer are good. Form over reps any day is better than knocking out reps without form. That leads to injury. Good luck and welcome to CrossFit!

Been here for a while now and love it. I'm heading to my goals and I'm always willing to encourage others. Feel free to add me.

Off day for me today. I don't lift super heavy but do CrossFit.

Don't apologize for a post - ever. Everyone is entitled to ask questions and seek advice. I'm guessing muscle weakness from use. I can relate. It took me a very long time to crank out push ups in plank rather than modified and I was so discouraged at first. But I kept at it. Each day I would challenge myself to try to do…

You're not stuck . . . This is normal and quite common. Be consistent with your workouts, logging, etc. It will come off. Fluctuations will happen from week to week depending on sodium intake, water consumption, etc.

^^^ This. I use C4 and love it. Does make you itch at first then goes away but a great pre-workout. My trainer introduced me to it.

Not so much any more. I was obsessed with the scale and it drove me crazy if the numbers went up at all . . . literally my wife had to hide it on me! I believe more in measuring and only weigh myself when I'm trying to factor my body fat %. The hard thing for most people to understand - myself included at the time - is…
