  • Yes, you can lose weight even on an antidepressant and menopause. You don't always lose weight on a steady incremental decline, you might sit at a weight for a week or two then BOOM suddenly 5 lbs gone. That's how it came on (in sneaky 5 lb chunks) and it seems this is the way it comes off my body. One change though, after…
  • Serial starter...that's me! Never been to WW, but am a TOPS member for many years in fits and starts. Same with MFP. Starting yet again. I have been on a long plateau which isn't the worst thing, but need to push a little harder again. New life, just retired, lost my mom, selling parent's house, what more can I…
  • I have lots of favourites, but this is right up there. Take a small tortilla and put chopped apple sprinkled with a little sugar and a good sprinkle of cinnamon. Wrap up all the corners of the tortilla (it comes out kind of square. Spray lightly with cooking oil. Put in airfryer seam side down and cook until wrap is nice…
  • Getting into the 150's in the next two weeks. Should be doable  Been a loooong time.
  • Hi everyone. I'm 5 feet tall - exactly. My most recent heaviest weight was 170. I've lost 55 lbs. before and I'm hoping to at least lose a respectable 40 lbs. But more important I want to increase my strength and cardio as at 55 years old, I've decided to take up figure skating again (which took up most of my childhood and…
  • I'm 47 and struggling just to not gain, but hoping to lose. This is soooo much harder than before. Looking for friends and support.
  • Very inspiring pics. Thanks for sharing.
  • Hi, need support too. My FB friends not too interested. I need to lose twenty five pounds and been up and down the scale a few times. I am also a member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). I too am looking for friends on myfitnesspal for motivation. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • I feed egg yolks to our dogs. The yolks are good for their coats. You can freeze them too in case you want them in a hollandaise sauce, or devil's food cake. I also heard that they can be mixed into tempra paint for an interesting glazed painting effect.
  • I eat a banana a day. I have discovered that I am sodium sensitive and have cut all extra salt from my diet. Also eating bananas for potassium. I feel great and dropped 4 lbs of water weight in 4 days. No side effects. The only time I was ever really deficient in potassium was when I had extreme morning sickness. You…
  • Aside from the obvious fruit and nuts that are gluten free, I like snacks from "Hot Kids". Gluten free cookie/cracker things very yummy and I feel like I've had a treat. They are gluten free (rice I believe) and not even to bad calorie wise.

  • Hi, I live in a cold climate (Saskatchewan, Canada) and have to move it indoors. Work f/t and live in the country (1/2 hr commute), joining a gym is not practical. I like doing tapes and I have a good one that is enjoyable "Fat-Burning Yoga for Dummies". Silly title, but I'm noticing it is effective. I even walk up and…
  • I could use some friends too. I'll try and add you. Or add me, not too sure how this works.
  • If you aren't a soy avoider, I like putting soy mozzarella cheese on my pizza, not too much of course. The soy has less bad fat in it and melts and browns great. Always pile on the veggies, just a smidge of meat and I feel like I'm not missing out at all.
  • Hi and welcome! I'm all about good solid lifestyle changes. My adjustments have included portion control and more exercise. So simple, so effective. Myfitnesspal keeps me on track and accountable. Best wishes on your journey. Add me as a buddy if you'd like.:flowerforyou:
  • Welcome, I've been a lurker too. A holiday is a great motivator to lose weight. I've been on myfitnesspal for a few weeks and sure find it helpful. Several years ago had a large weight loss of 55 lbs, but then in the last year or two I've put 30 pounds back on (mid 40's thing???) Anyway, like the saying goes "if it's going…
  • Hi, Welcome to myfitnesspal! I'm a mom in my mid 40's with grown up children and am in yet another life change whether I want it or not. Recently had a big weight gain, mostly perimenopausal I think. But no excuses. "If it's got to be, then it is up to me". What kind of changes are you feeling you are wanting?
