There's a guy at work who is incapable of pulling his trousers up or wearing a belt to the point that we are all subjected to excessive bum crack - at times at least 3/4 of his *kitten* hanging out - and I could never say anything! He would be mortified. He obviously knows it happens, but it has someone become such a habit…

1. Open the lounge curtains. 2. Feed the cat (this has to be done or else you are subjected to a loud constant never-ending 'demand meow') 3. Put the kettle on for a cup of tea or put a tab in my tassimo machine.

I've always had a bit of confusion over how many calories coffee is. I use sweetex (1) and skimmed milk, and have 1 - 2 mugs a day.

So how do they work exactly? Do you wear one on your wrist and then it tells you your 'true' calories burned?

We often project our own failures on to other people, so it is probably something to do with them feeling bad about themselves that they are not doing the same as you are when they feel that they should. But family and (true) friends should rise above this. You'll find lots of support here.

Yes! And Tom Hiddleston...

Wow - you look about 15 - 20 years younger!! That's amazing.

You could try peppermint tea.

Tosh I say! Get a good sports bra.

Thanks for all the posts. Going to set myself a goal of 50 miles a month (with a few thrown in for the end of August). That's an aim of 220 miles until Dec 31st this year. Done 7 so far (since Friday).

Wow - I do 4 miles in about 71 minutes at the moment - that's some serious pace you've got going on!

Yes! Treadmills are essential, as you can say 'no matter what the weather, I'll go on a walk' you manage to talk yourself out of it.

10 miles a day? Wow, that's amazing. I wouldn't have time for that! The pedometer sounds like a good idea, though - gives you a few goals to reach and such like...

Everyone keeps mentioning these fitbits. Maybe I should get one!

 Yes, my friend (who had given birth, I haven't) had to stop after 10 minutes! It's a shame, as I do like the workout of SPIN strangely enough...I was thinking maybe some cushioned pants in the gusset region.

Ha ha! I guess it is down to WHAT you eat. Moving from 3 pies a day to 10 apples a day's gonna make a difference - non?

Hi - I'll friend you :)

Hi Cortney, I swear I am not taking the piss, as I did my first spinning class at a spa the other week. So here's my question: How do you do spinning without it being excruciating on your lady parts? I got bruises!! T xx

Hi Macas, Yes, I guess it does come down to that. What I need to do is get straight out there and get walking as soon as I get home to make sure I don't get 'settled in'. Easier at week-ends and at this time of year. I can spare the hour or so for the 4 miler each night. Hell, I'd only be surfing the net in that time (like…

Thank you! Gonna check out that app.

You can get special trainers - they stick you on a treadmill and get you trainers to work with your feet, so you don't suffer from aches and pains. Quite pricey though (well, £100 - $160 US - $155 Canadian).

Hi Punkmom (cool name btw), Yes, apart from the obvious 'boobs all over the damn place' thing, I have a ****y toe, which gives me jip after a while. One thing I have learned from lots of runners is to go to one of those shops and get special trainers designed for your feet. They're quite expensive, but have apparently…

Hi there, Yes! I figured it would take me about 2.5 hours - 3 hours to get a 10 miler in. I think anything more would be a week-end affair!
-
Hi Waszo, That's really interesting. I lost 42 pounds and I didn't go to a gym or do any other exercise other than walking and it seemed to work. So I guess I need to keep burning those fat cells and - well - er - avoid carbs... Seriously, though, I think I need to get some strength training in to blast out the last…

Hi! Yes, Scotland is a lovely place to live. I was in Edinburgh today and the Fringe was on and the place was heaving! When I started walking when I weighed nearly 200 pounds I did 3 miles in 60 minutes. I can now do it in 51 minutes. Small steps as they say... Today, I was looking at google maps and measuring distances…

Wow - that's 35 miles a week! 140+ miles a month! Well done. I honestly would do it for longer if I had the time.

Hi Skonly, Yes, I know this may seem a tad obvious, but I find running just too exhausting - I'm currently 11 stone 6 and 5 foot 6 - so I'm no giant of a woman, but I guess it's all about being healthy. It also turns my legs to jelly. That's the worst part for me. I would love to get that epiphany moment when I'm running…

Hi Sis! Well, I live in the country, so have to drive 50 miles a day to get to work, but my job does sometimes get me out and moving about. Being in the country, I do get some lovely views on my walks, one of them is through woodland. And this is the thing. Today, I put Elgar on my ipod and walked 3 miles - I do enjoy the…
