Please add me too!

I am 58 and would love to have you add me as a friend. I have been on MFP for about 2 years...sometimes I am more active than at other times. However, I am always trying to at least maintain and would love to lose another 10 lbs.

Congratulations on your success. It is truly amazing what we can do when we work at it and keep at it. I have been doing a bootcamp type exercise program for 3 years and always feel as if I fall short when it comes to running/jogging. So, I finally got up the nerve to do the Couch to 5K program and it is going well. I…

It would be nice if my co-worker could possibly be somewhat civil....a good morning or a good night or have a nice weekend every once in a while would be appreciated. I work in a small office and my co-worker rarely speaks unless spoken to...of course...if it is the boss or some other male, she is quite pleasant. Anyway, I…

Thanks for all the encouragement. I am going to keep at it and see how it goes. I am looking forward to my 3rd walk/jog of Week 1.

Thanks for the reminder. The scale has been known to make or break a day for me despite knowing that weight flucuates.

I agree. I am not the MFP police. We are all here because we have a desire to better ourselves...sometimes quickly sometimes slowly. I don't judge because I understand the struggle to live a better life. I have not reached a better plateau than you because I log in every day.

I would totally ignore them. My beef is those that think they know everything because they have lost some weight or learned how to exercise. Compassion and helpfulness should be the name of the game instead of a snooty better than attitude. Anyway, I just laugh when I see this sort of behavior and realize it sure is better…

Quitting smoking and menopause.

I am 5'3 and current weigh 135 lbs. I either wear an 8 or a 10. :flowerforyou:

I put them in a microwave glass bowl with a little water on the bottom and microwave covered for 3 minutes. Then drain off the water, add some lemon and salt and ready to eat. Of course, a little butter adds some great flavor.

Congratulations! Just remember that you can do it and that you will have your moments. It took me a full year to get through all sorts of things...first summer day, first July 4th, Christmas, etc. Anway, I smoked for years and thought I would never quit. It was my last vice and I wasn't going to give it up. I am now a…

Congratulations on quitting smoking. It took me years to quit and I have been off cigarettes for about 6 years. I would not trade the weight I gained for the freedom I have as a nonsmoker. It is hard to both diet and quit smoking. I had to tackle the weight gain after I was more comfortable being a nonsmoker....probably…

Enjoyed your post. You look great. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the great post. It is so nice not to be caught up with scale when so many other things are so important.

I use the foam roller and it has been a blessing in my life. I use it for my piriformis muscle and it has relieved ongoing constant pain.

I am 56 also. In regard to post menopausal issues, sluggish metabolism is probably my biggest challenge along with some back issues that causes some exercises to be difficult. I was someone who could really eat whatever I wanted until I turned 50. After 50, life changed dramatically and I gained weight and especially…

Thanks for the tips. I am really trying to drink more water. I have a hard time with it but I totally overdid on the sodium yesterday and need to get rid of some of this water weight. I will try drinking a sip between each bite. I find that I can eat a whole meal without any liquids with no problem.

I am 56 and totally agree with life changing after 50. I noticed weight gain around the middle and that had never been a problem for me. I joined a morning boot camp exercise program 2 years ago and have consistently shown up 3 days a week at 5 30 am for exercise. I believe this has really helped keep the weight off as…

Burpees! They are wicked.

Thanks for all the pics and inspiration. I am 5'3 and currently at 134 lbs. My high was 145 lbs and I am looking to reach 125 lbs. So so motivating to see so many people with excellent results.

Amazing! Keep up the good work.

I am 135 and would like to be 125....10lbs! I have remained at this weight since January and I guess I do know how to do maintenance at this level which is a plus. I need to be stricter with my food choices....too many cheat meals and then too many calories to actually lose. I guess I need to really decide whether I want…

I am 5'3 and weigh 135 lbs. I am either an 8 or 10 realistically. I would have to weigh in the low 120's to be back into a 4. I am not bottom heavy either.

Menopause was a very rude awakening for me and I have had to change the way I live. I was amazed at how quickly I put on weight and it all settled in my mid section. I had always eaten pretty much what I wanted and had a flat stomach. Anyway, I have lost about 10 lbs since joining MFP and I exercise on a regular basis. I…

Almost finished a pint....that is of water, of course! Thanks

Thanks for sharing! I will have to try this recipe.
