The key is to buy decent oatmeal - not the Quaker instant crap. Buy a good Irish Steel Cut oatmeal and don't overcook. Add some strawberries and just a little sugar in the raw or Stevia and its a great breakfast that lasts for hours. Look, it will never be confused with bacon but it works!

I recommend you try Sashimi (the fish without the rice) and stay away from anything with crispy or tempura in the name. Crispy or Tempura equals fried! It can be a great low fat meal that is high in Omega 3's. Enjoy!

Mt Pleasant, SC - I used MFP several years ago with great success but veered away in the last two years and have regained 30 pounds. Back on this time and need all of the support I can get. Trying to lose 40 pounds between March 1 and July 1. 10 pounds a month seems reasonable.

Yes - signed up and almost ready to go! I am 7 weeks into my 10 week training program.

I keep a large bag of celery and carrots in the fridge or a 100 calorie bag of popcorn.

Ive used this successfully for the 5k and 10K programs - it works! Its not about speed its about time. Don't worry about speed. I like doing it outside better than on a treadmill. If you find one week particularly hard its better to repeat it.

Don't worry about it - sometimes your body plateaus or just takes a break. I have seen this happen for two weeks on occasion than all of a sudden your body catches up and the weight drops off. Just stay with it - I know it can be discouraging but it is only short term!

Dont think so much! Just get out out and alternate walking and slow jogging. Use an app like "map my exercise" or ease into 5k. I love the "ease into 5k" app. Great for beginners.

I've lost 42 pounds since Feb 15th! Key is to always underestimate the calories burned and overestimate the calorie intake. I try to exercise everyday and do my best to not add those calories back into my diet. :glasses:
