"In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort." LOVE Tolkien.

I have never done WW but a couple of my coworkers have been doing it, and it sounds like hell. True, they have been losing weight, but they are constantly worrying about every single point, even in things like a single M&M, and on days they have meetings, they don't eat at all in case they add an extra third of a pound to…

thanks everyone for the help! either way I'm going to need to get new shoes soon, so I will look into your suggestions

I do Insanity on carpet so I will try barefoot today! I've noticed that sometimes my shoes kind of catch on the carpet or slow me down, so this may be the solution. Also saves me money from buying new shoes!

I just started Insanity for the first time on Monday! It's much more intense than I was expecting but I love it so far and I can already feel a difference in my abs, arms, and legs. If we can stick with it, there will definitely be good results at the end!

good job you look great!!! I have a similar body build to you and I'm halfway thru my first week of Insanity... it's been tough but I LOVE it and I'm already feeling stronger in my abs, arms, and legs. I'm excited to see my final results! congratulations!!

Just started Insanity for the first time on Monday and it feels AMAZING!!! Definitely a bit out of my league but I try to keep up as much as possible. I can already feel the changes in my abs, arms, and legs so I'm excited to stick with it and hopefully see some results!

I feel the same way. For some reason dieting and exercise seems to be something that I don't want to share every detail with my real life friends. Plus I don't want this to turn into a Facebook site

aw this makes me so sad! my cousin's wife goes through this every year. he is in the air force and is currently gone for the next 5 months, and I know she is working out constantly to look good for when he gets back. good luck!! be thankful you have someone so special thinking about you :)

I'm also in!! I'm at 155 lb and I want to get down to 147! I plan on adding more fruits/vegetables to my diet and add an extra half hour of exercise to my daily routine

My problem is the weekends. I eat well and exercise 5 days a week and then when the weekend rolls around, I feel like I completely destroy my hard work for the week. A cheat day definitely sounds like a better option than what I'm currently doing. If you deprive yourself of your favorite foods for too long, you will spiral…

I have the same issue.... no matter what I've eaten during the day, I'm always craving snacks at bedtime. Just try to save some calories specifically for at night! And even if you don't like to eat breakfast, eating something small and healthy is good to get your metabolism going for the day.

so motivating!! you look great!
-
LOVE IT! my friends request this for me at the bars

I have the exact same body type! If you consistently lose weight, you will lose a bit of your bottom too, but honestly it's probably genetic and will always be bigger compared to the rest of your body. I've grown to embrace mine....having a big butt isn't a bad thing!

TOM visited me this past week, so no weight loss so far. However, I'm planning on making some progress this next week!

that is exactly how you should do it, because you can stick to those eating habits for the rest of your life... i need to start doing that!

400 calories is not healthy at all. if you continue eating that few of calories, you are gonna notice the negative effects within a few weeks
-
wow thank you everyone. I woke up early today to work out before class, and now reading this afterwards makes me feel even better. thank you for the motivation, it was exactly what I needed! we can do this!
-
wow great job!!

I should correct myself...I don't lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks...usually like 2 months. It's a very slow process of losing weight because of the fact that I only stay good for 2 weeks and then fall off the wagon, gain a few back, start being good again, lose a few, and so on.....
-
I have the exact same problem. Once I start eating something, I cannot stop whether I am full or not. And I never used to be like this either, so I don't know where the problem came from. We need to get some serious will-power to stop this problem. Good luck!
-
if it makes you feel better, I devoured an entire pint of Ben and Jerry's yesterday and did not work out at all. that's over a 1000 calories in one sitting. ughhhh but get over it and move on! we can do this!

I have almost the exact same body type as you... I'm at 5'3" and weigh about 145. I started at 155 back in September, and it's now February and I've only lost 10 lbs. I know I don't follow a diet as well as I should because I have a major sweet tooth, but I've definitely gotten better and have noticed a change. I think at…
