Fantastic! What a brilliant achievement - I hope you are thrilled with your breakthrough

Pop Tarts are bad because you can burn your tongue on them (ouch!). Ice cream is bad because it can give you 'ice cream headaches (ouch!) If neither of these apply to you - then eat away - as long as they fit into your micro/macro/calorie goals for the day - don't worry about it. If other people want to worry about it, let…

Thanks for the tip - I'll have a look - sounds interesting

Sorry - I've never heard of it :(

Bump :)

I've found that this is a brilliant site for keeping a check on what your doing. I started on here on 14th January this year and have lost 16 pounds. As I was 305 pounds when I started and only 5' 1" - I haven't done any exercise yet as my knees would be shot in an instant! So the weightloss is purely through eating better…

:) Fantastic analogy - I've never heard this - but will remember it on my 'weak' days! x

It was your anniversary (congratulations!) - so you deserved to celebrate it and have a little more than you would normally :) You can't be 'good' every single day for the rest of your life - but you can keep more or less to the road that leads to your ultimate goal. Anniversaries, birthdays and days special to you deserve…

Welcome back! Sadly I have no tips on eating out regularly as I'm fortunate not to have to travel with work. I would say, though, where possible see if the place you will be eating at has an online menu - you'll be able to decide on what you're going to have by looking at the menu/nutritional values. Ask for…

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved father. Even though you know he is in a better place, it is still going to be a very difficult time for you. Sending you and your family my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. 'Don't say with sadness "He is no more" say in thankfulness "He was" x x

Ha ha! That's what you think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my second time round too. I started two weeks ago at 305 pounds and am now down to 298 pounds. I ultimately want to get down to about 140 pounds - but am happy to go for 10 pound goals until then.... Feel free to add me - and this goes for anyone else who wants to :)

Big congratulations to your mom. You should be very proud of her and I hope she's VERY proud of herself and her achievments! x

It's definitely possible! There are some fantastic success stories to read on this site. I'm just a week in to my calorie counting using MFP. I found that over the years of doing 'diet plans' whether WeightWatchers, Slimming World or one of the many others, I'd lost sight of the basics. Calories. I was shocked at how many…

I have 140lbs to lose - so please add me! In fact anyone who wants to, please add me - I could do with the extra support - and will do my best to support you all in return  x x

I think the point is that the OP is male and whilst away on a school trip the teacher had double booked a room, inadvertently putting her own daughter (female) and the OP (male) in the same room where they slept in the same bed..... At that age this would be a 'big' thing... Hope this helps those of you having problems…

Hi Lucy I'm making a few assumptions here - so please forgive me if I'm a bit far off the mark... It sounds to me like your Aunt's insecurities are surfacing. Perhaps she felt comfortable with the fact that you were as big (bigger?) as she was/is? If she's seen that in the past you haven't made any headway into shedding…

Hiya You've certainly come to the right place! I joined MFP about 2 weeks ago and have lost 7.5 lbs! I've got about 10 (or 11?) stone to lose - I'll re-evaluate when I get nearer to goal. I've sent you a friend request so that we can support and encourage each other as the pounds melt away
-
Fantastic job! Keep up the good work
-
Hi I'm from Staffordshire. I'll be here for the long haul. Feel free to add me (that goes for anyone who needs more MFP friends x x).
-
WOW! Congratulations on your achievement! I don't have the words to express my admiration for all that hard work you've put in. Fantastic/spectacular/amazing - none of them quite seem to do justice to the battle you took on - and WON!! I wish you and your family a long and happy life together, safe in the knowledge that…

Congratulations!! What an inspiration x x

Good look on your journey! You've made the right choice with MFP - I've lost 7.5 in 2 weeks just by sticking to the calories MFP has prescribed :o)
-
Well done!!!

Fantastic reply puffedmummy - and (apart from the running) that is how my thought process is going. And in response to the OP, I'm eating what I want within my calories, but am thinking about the 'worth' of some of the foods I would have eaten.

Hi Katie, I'm in the UK - Staffordshire in England to be precise. I'm 50 and looking to lose a lot of weight - but as they say, every journey starts with a single step (or pound in my case!). My partner and I love Wales, and were there on Monday for the day :oD. Good luck with your new gym and on your weightloss journey.…
