Love egg nog (minus the rum. never had the alcohol version). Anywho, it's really the only time of year you can buy it. I say buy one small personal size bottle (8-12oz) to enjoy and that's it. Don't buy the large containers, otherwise you'll be tempted to over do it.

I'm already addicted to this site and new as well. Feel free to add me (as long as your ok with multiple updates! lol)

Hello and Welcome. I've only been using MFP online for a couple of days and have already found an amazing amount of support. THIS website is the place to be :)

You MUST buy the Ninja Blender! I have the Ninja Blender/Food Processor and it's FAN-TASTIC. I use it mostly for smoothies (and ok, frozen alcoholic drinks too) but it beats the heck out of the hamilton blender I had. That thing couldn't even crush ice for me. http://www.blenderexpert.com/ninja-blender.html

I think dog food would be better. lol

What brought me to MFP? Well I downloaded to the app on my phone in early October, simply to see how many calories I ate. But it wasn't until this past week when I felt like it was finally time to start REALLY using MFP for what it was intended for.

You know, there's really no food that I feel like I *HAVE* to have. If it's not in the house, it's not an issue for me. But when there are baked goods, like cupcakes, brownies, cookies, ect in the house, I find myself having more than I should.

Sometimes though it's so hard to drink water, especially when you're not thirsty. I think that's the worst, having to force yourself to drink. I find myself having to do that often.

Don't stress. Learn from it, remember it in morning, and make better choices tomorrow. That's all you can do :)

I believe prisons give out "bars" that have all the nutrients needed. I'm pretty sure it was prisons, or something like it.

Have fun, it's a vacation after all! I've never been on vacation while dieting, but every vacation I've been on involved a TON of walking and sight seeing, so while you indulge a little, you'll probably burn a good chunk of those calories anyway.

You know, I don't know if anything can motivate a person until they're really ready. I've done different diets and have tired to change the way I eat many times over the years, but nothing ever stuck. I started using MFP on my phone early October, as a way to see how many calories I was eating (not really dieting), and…

I'd say get your own scale to use at home if you can. I use theTaylor Biggest Loser Scale (I believe it's $40) and found it works really well. I only use that scale to weigh in, don't trust other scales because they can be off.

Oh yeah, I could eat 1/2 a donut IF I cut it in half BEFORE eating it. lol

Although this is all still very new to me, I don't plan on denying myself something if I really want it. If I really want something, I'll just eat less of it. Eat a small cheeseburger instead of a Big Mac, eat half the donut instead of the whole, eat 5-10 chips, instead of 1/2 a bag.

You know, I didn't even think about sodium. I double checked and it was 820 in sodium. Which sounds pretty high, although I'm being told I should have 2,500. Even so, I'll just be extra careful the rest of the day.

The 270 calories includes the dressing. They don't give you much ranch, probably 1 tablespoon I'm guessing. Which I found to be great for portion control because I'm use to free pouring dressing and coating my salads. Connivence is a huge issue for me, and the pre-made salad once in awhile makes it easy when I need to grab…

Most fast food restaurants, anything with a drive-thru. It's the connivence of it that kills me. Even more so if I am busy or out on the road going someplace. It's too easy to grab something at a drive-thru than cook.
