When I was losing each time I went down a size I bought a few key items, it really made me feel the benefit of the weight loss as it felt so good for the clothes to fit better and look more flattering.

Thrift stores are your friend

Well done on the loss and all the best for those remaining kgs. Your percentage probably isn't far away, I'm at maintenance 7 years and it does take keeping an eye on intake the majority of the time to keep my weight at goal range within +/-5lbs.
-
It would work nicely inside a thin crepe/pancake  does the canned chicken come in a sauce? the ones I've seen/used did.
-
In maintenance 7 years and haven't tracked much at all in the last 5 years. Now and again I will track if I see a little weight creep happening or if I want to track my macros but I'm able to maintain my weight in general without tracking.
-
I bank calories on week days to account for eating slightly above maintenance calories at the weekend.

^^ this At 5ft 6, 129lbs seems low enough for your height ? but then we all have very different body types/compositions- I'm 4" inches smaller, basically the same weight as you and very happy with my body composition/weight in general - I go by how my clothes fit (UK size 8/10) and the mirror.
-
I maintained (which is always my plan anyway). Hubby lost 19lbs.

Thanks, that photo was taken a few days ago  of course the lack of loss spooks you, it does that to us at times all but we have to think bigger picture and long term process, chipping away at the pounds bit by bit. Really wishing you every success and also hoping your relative will be recover ok. ~Ruth

So you definately shouldn't be eating less than 1200 calories but every one of them has to be accounted for, not eyeballed... stick with the process because calories in > calories out leads to weight loss, it can take several weeks to show up on the scale though. The thing is to find a way of eating that wont lead to any…

What height are you out of interest? I'm a fellow shortie at 5ft 2, BMR for me is around 1192 but I'm active and can maintain my weight on 2000 cals.
-
Yep normal, I'm a shortie, at goal weight and can still fluctuate up to 2lbs day to day.

oops old thread!

For low impact at home workouts I do them barefoot - have done for years with no issues.
-
a week is not enough data, give it time.
-
A plateau is weight not changing for more than 4- 6 weeks - eating at calorie deficit eventually leads to weight loss. 1200 calories is minimum intake for a woman unless you're very short.

I haven't noticed any syncing issues with Fitbit at all here, started using my Charge again in February - I take it you have tried uninstalling/reinstalling both apps?
-
At maintenance for 7 years, logged for the first 3 and not had to since then but still mentally keep a tab of my calories mentally - I'm a creature of habit, eat the same kinds of things day in, day out and am also active in general which helps too.
-
I don't think of it as fear, but maintaining does mean keeping on being consistent. I'm in my 7th year of maintenance, no longer log my food but have a rough idea in my head of my daily consumption. Stepping on the scale regularly keeps me right because my clothes wouldn't tell me I'd gained, probably would have to gain 7…

You did it before so you have the tools to know how to do it again - wishing you all the best Lida.

Well done on getting that first mile done, its going to take time to build your stamina so just make a promise to yourself to keep on making that effort each day... bit by bit you will get stronger and you will be glad you stuck with it.

Water storage is a given and it shouldn't be thought of as a negative thing. Use a trending weight app, after a while you'll see what your average trend is.

How is your fat intake? fat gets the bowels moving I find...

In 7th year of maintenance and only experience hunger pangs the odd day, usually a low protein day. I didn't lose that much though (25lbs), from what other friends who have lost a lot more say, they seem to experience hunger a lot more...

You have same stats basically as me apart from age, I'm 50 - I maintain on 2000 calories a day but I am active and average 15000 steps a day (mix of running/cycling/walking). I have a +/-5lb weight range, when it veers on the higher side its time to cut back on the intake for a while. I'm in my 7th year of maintenance. Eat…

Lockdown has done the opposite for us - hubby has lost 15lbs and I've lost 3.5 in the last 4 weeks - but then we decided we would get lots of DIY projects done around the house, that meant we were extra active every day but still eat basically like we always do (well obviously hubby ISN'T eating as much as before but…

After years of yoyo dieting, gaining and losing the same 10 or 20lbs enough was enough. I said no to crash dieting in 2012 when I was 42, happened upon this app and started counting calories. It was a game changer. I chose to lose weight at a slow pace but that meant the amount I got to eat felt sustainable - I'm pretty…

I'm in my 7th year of maintaining - takes working at all the time even at maintenance I've found. I'm Ruth from Northern Ireland.

Personally with living in a rural location, no nearby neighbours it wont feel much different. We have plans to continue more DIY around the house and get the garden ship shape if we do have to self isolate and have time on our hands... neither of us can work remotely due to the nature of our jobs.

LOL up to your usual antics I see
