The creamer wont have any impact on your IF, I've been doing IF for the best part of a year, haven't been overly strict with it but I enjoy a little milk in my tea first thing, can't do the black tea or coffee thing. There's nothing miraculous about IF for weight loss, its just a means of keeping the calories down - I used…

Agree with the others set yourself to at least 'lightly active' and don't log, the extra calorie burn will be factored in.

I find with MFP you get out what you put in, so if you're not overly chatty on your newsfeed, comment on friends updates etc then they are inclined to reciprocate in the same way. Congrats on that loss, its fantastic, but at the end of the day you are doing this for you, not for the cheer-leading - at least that's how I…

I workout indoors/bare feet - even lifting weights I'm bare footed, not a fan of wearing any shoes in the house in general.

Save some calories for a night time snack. A lot of night time eating can be purely habit or boredom I find - last summer I started using IF (16:8) to keep my calories in check - I've gotten used to not eating anything at all after 7pm apart from drinking tea or water. It wasn't easy for the first few weeks but now I don't…

I don't eat fast food often and have at least 3 BM's a day - my husbands thinks it strange I have to go so much LOL. Of course, everyone is different, whats normal for one person, wont be for the next... OP its possibly more the inactivity causing the issue rather than the kind of food you're eating.

I'm in maintenance 7 years and its really only when I see photos of myself that I see I'm slim - I think with being overweight for years my head still thinks I'm the curvy girl I used to be.

I've also had this app since 2012, andbeen maintaining my goal range since 2013 It works  but we have to put the effort and consistency in.

Don't pay any heed, set point is not a thing.

WebMD says 'A woman who was average weight before getting pregnant should gain 25 to 35 pounds after becoming pregnant. Underweight women should gain 28 to 40 pounds. And overweight women may need to gain only 15 to 25 pounds during pregnancy.] You are in your final trimester which means you should be gaining weight now as…

Logging calories - it was a game changer!

Great to get your update OP, and glad you are looking at things more positively - all the best with your continued loss

2 1/2 weeks - its early days yet, just keep going, it will pay off. 61kg isn't overweight for your height anyway (I'm just a bit lighter than your current weight/same height and happy to maintain there but I do have quite a bit of muscle which helps, I wear a UK size 8). Any loss is going to take time as you don't have…

@nklp I eat on average approx 1800 calories (don't measure/weigh any more so that's just an educated guess from years of weighing and knowing portion sizes and knowing calories in everything I eat). I always feel sated/full (until the next day when its close to my new eating window to start LOL). I feel 1800 is a good…

@dramaqueen45 I am using IF to maintain my weight as thats my goal, a smaller eating window than that would likely lead to loss because it would likely lead to one less meal. Theres nothing magical about meal timings or fasting, its all about creating calorie deficit in order to lose (if that's the goal).

I'm another one who finds that being 7-10lbs heavier than my lowest goal weight actually mean my face looks younger/less lined - I'm 51, 5ft 2, being at my lightest weight of 124lbs for a few years ended up making me look very gaunt and older looking imo (plus friends were always commenting that I had lost too much…

they might not be, when did you last weigh yourself? are your clothes fitting the same?

You're only two weeks into this, it takes time for these changes to pay off.

Great post, now I'm wondering for my at home workouts how I could improvise with something in order to do hip thrusts....any suggestions welcome

Yes its possible if your active, I have cut back my activity in recent months and find I'm still maintaining ok on 1800 (at 5ft 2/ 51yrs)- p.s I used to average 15k steps so that enabled me getting to eat around 2100 cals now more like 8k steps (guessing) to get 1800, but I don't sit down much - its also possible to earn…

Those dumbbells will be a great investment if you use them  I have several different ones for my home gym, have done a couple of recomps since hitting maintenance 7 years ago - I'm a cardio bunny by nature but since August have been doing strength training consistently and making great progress - makes me wonder why…

I think it takes time for us to feel comfortable with fluctuations, once we understand/get our heads around the reasons most fluctuations happen then we can feel more relaxed knowing that all is actually well.

You'll find on this site there are runners of ALL ages, I have friends in their 60s and 70s who run with no issues - so as the song says..'keep on running'
-
OP 8 months on since you started this thread, how is your progress now?
-
ah its easy to slip into old habits, but at least you know what was causing the weight creep and have taken action.
-
Are you using a food scale? when down to the last few pounds loss is slow and there's little room for error. Calories are king when it comes to losing no matter how much we have to lose. I found the last 10lbs took around 5 months /average of 0.5lb a week.

After dinner (which is around 6.30-7) I don't eat anything else, but thats my preference - there's nothing wrong with eating in the evening, its all about the calories in rather than WHEN they go in. If you're hungry save calories for a snack after your evening workout.

I can't say I've ever slipped below my maintenance range.... (it was a fight to get there and stay there)
